Is extrem hiding bannable?

Two claudetes...two Urban Evasion...two spine chills... The ######### round was 1 hour long on 4 gens, they didn't even try to do something. And no, quitting was not a option because I don't want a 12 hour ban. Is this ######### bannable?

How long have you been DC'ing to get a 12 hour ban? The ban starts at 5 minutes for DC'ing.

I'm not sure. If the 2 Claudettes were deliberately hiding and refusing to do the objective then I think that would be considered "Holding the game hostage". Thing is, how can you prove they were neglecting to play and just hoping the other would be found first so they could find the hatch?

You can report this because they are holding the game hostage, which is a bannable offense. You should record the game (does not have to be the full game, it is enough if you start recording at some point so that you can show what they are doing (or better: not doing)) and report them AND send a Support-Ticket.

Even in instances that aren't as extreme as OP's example, I do think game length is a problem. There's really never any reason for a game to go beyond 15 minutes. Somebody is stalling at that point.

Yes, I get that Whispers is a thing, la la la, but slotting a perk just to prevent a hostage situation is downright stupid. I'd even advocate for showing the hatch's aura for killers and survivors once it's opened. It's not meant to be fair. It's meant to end the game. Two parties wandering around for hatch is boring. That's why EGC exists too.

I mean, if there is no progress on any Gen, this should be proof enough. At this point they are not advancing the game, which means they hold the game hostage by not doing anything and just evading the Killer the whole time.

Really? man I had one of these two nights ago was being held hostage by a claudette and a meg in gideon meat plant neither was doing anything I am pretty sure both were hiding in one of the 40 lockers in the bottom floor somewhere but idk on top of that I was oni and I kept activating my wrath from all the blood lying around so they just kept hiding lol. I went through that map a dozen times had wrath maxed blood orbs maxed and I guess they gave up waiting each other out they finally came out and touched a gen and I downed both game was def almost an hour thanks to them. No hatch that game.

Probably. When it comes to reports I like to be certain instead of salty. Considering my usual end game chat Id like to see the amount of reports filed against me because I know every single one of them is false. I've had games where 2 people were left and they were both hiding. Hoping one would die so they could find the hatch but since I run Whispers in most of my builds. Those situations never lasted as long as OP has posted.

If they were just hiding and not doing anything for more than 5-10 minutes. It's griefing/taking the game hostage

I doubt it since they could probably claim they were just waiting for a good time to do gens.

But these kinds of survivors are why I only run a 32m terror radius killer with whispers or monitor. It’s waaaay too easy to hide from a 32m radius killer if you don’t want to do gens.

at that point i would just go afk.. whats the point in trying when they play like that

Yes, holding the game hostage is reportable especially when it's clear they are doing it to grief.

Survivors refusing to do any objectives and only hiding; at a certain point becomes just that.

Please just report in game, and submit additional information here:

Use gamertag info instead of steamid if they are on console.

A moderator will most likely post a cleaner version of what I just said and then lock this topic.

If they don't attempt to play the game and for that long, yes.

Survivor's main objective is to...survive. If you keep sweating your ass off when there's 2 survivors and more than 1 generator left, you probably shouldn't be expecting them to play nice and just come out to be killed

Yes. The important thing is that you record it, as I believe they've said that they won't ban anyone without recorded evidence (except in the case of post-chat harassment, as simply reporting them in-game will automatically save the chat log for them to review).

Basically, like others have mentioned, a recording is important. Report them in the game is mandatory and the additional evidence can be sent to support.

In this situation, if you have valid proof of them not doing anything, this could be possibly considered holding the game hostage as they were hiding instead of trying to make an active effort to finish the game by attempting to do some gens, etc.
