Obsession Rework Concept

Hey guys, it's me, back at it again with another wacky idea.

I've been seeing a few conversations about it, so this time, I'm gonna talk a bit about the Obsession mechanic.

Initially, the Obsession was introduced as a high-priority target for Killers like Myers, whose perks encouraged taking out the Obsession ASAP to get benefits for the rest of the game. In recent years, however, the Obsession mehanic has been reworked, with only a few perks being left that give active benefits to attacking the Obsession in the first place, let alone hooking them, instead favoring leaving them alive.

Meanwhile, to Survivors, the Obsession means nothing. No extra risk, no drawback, nothing.

My idea is as follows:

Killer perks that directly impact the Obsession should stay the way they are now, encouraging the Killer to leave them alive, but Survivor perks that influence the Obsession should come with at least one drawback.

For example, let's say that someone is, hypothetically, using a reworked Decisive Strike.

Well, in addition to its current effects, under this update, the Survivor would get, say, a 50% penalty to base charge generation while they are the Obsession, effectively cutting their effectiveness on the whole in half after they force you to eat it.

HYPOTHETICALLY.

The idea is that if the Killer is running an Obsession perk or two that isn't Remember Me or something of that caliber, you should be pretty safe from danger, albeit while also incurring a lot of potential risk to be the Obsession, since if you have a perk designed for it, then you'll generally have a pretty rough time doing things.

Feel free to let me know what you guys think, and if you have any ideas for reworked Obsession perks with this style.
