Tips for finding gens on inside maps??
My main disdain for inside maps are generally that it’s hard to find the gens. With outside maps, it’s finding the blinking lights to at least map your way around but inside it’s just running around and hoping you find one in a room.
So is there any indicators like the blinking lights for a lot of the inside maps??

They spawn on certain points, some have fixed spawns so there's always gens there u just gotta play a few matches till u learn

Yeah I've played the maps enough to have a sense of where the gens are on inside maps.
I just read a different post that said that every map has similar gen spawns. 1 gen in the middle. 3 in an outer perimeter and 3 in an inner perimeter. Dunno if that would help at all or if it's even true. For some maps it sounds familiar.

Memorization is probably the best way... maybe run Visionary or Deja Vu or use a map and bring offerings for maps where you have problems finding the gens!
The Game: don’t know it that applies to the reworked version as well but you can look out for those closed gates (the grey ones that almost go an entire wall), gens are usually next to closed gates which open up after completion.
Lerys: Some rooms have flickering lights if a gen is in there.
Midwich: LOL run around like a headless chicken until you stumble over a gen. (Well that’s my plan there at least, but some gens I have memorized pretty well)
Hawkins: Memorization, but if you have a general sense for the layout: the corners and exit gates often have gens, there is always the one on top and the one at that portal thing.

As far as I know, that's not true, albeit sometimes they will spawn this way.
Each map has fixed and variable gen locations, certain maps only have variables. The maximum quantity of pre-defined gen spots per map is two, iirc (saloon, hawkins).
All the other gens are allocated between a bunch of variable spawns by a matching function (quantity of variable spawn spots is limited, so gen placement is never actually random). The only parameter variable gen spawns depend on is minimum distance to already placed gens (it gets adjusted if they are located on different floors or have tiles in between). During map generation process, the system randomly allocates variable gens one by one to a random spot not "blocked" by min range zone around already placed generators. If somehow the last gen can't be placed anywhere, the process restarts. The whole process is basically one huge (IF; ELSE) function.
Totems work in a similar way, except that they never have guaranteed spawn points, and have an extra requirement of not appearing in survivors' direct LoS from their respective spawn - the latter restriction sometimes does not work properly, though.
All of this was up-to-date in late 2019, and I haven't heard of any conceptual changes to map generation process since then (except for "dead zones" fix attempt, which only affects tile placement).

Tip for "The Game" as a map : The large, tile-sized, grey metal sliding doors that open when a generator is completed is an indicator of the gen being there in the first place. If you're running around on The Game and you see one of those giant tile-blocking doors, you know that a generator is nearby to open it.

Lery's has flickering signs outside the rooms containing a generator. The gen in the treatment area is a guaranteed spawn.
In The Game, look for the closed sliding metal doors. There would be a gen around those. The gen in the bathroom is guaranteed.
On Hawkings too you can look for the closed sliding doors. Those have the peculiarity of twitching. However, there's a long standing bug where sometimes there's no gen associated with the door. You can also look for flickering lights, especially in the corridors. Gens can spawn on the ground floor, or upstairs for the rooms that have an upper floor. The gens in the portal room (spawns only upstairs) and the one in the isolation room (the small one all the way upstairs on the map highest floor, which will give you the achievement/thropy) are guaranteed.
On Midwhich, there are no indications, as far as I know. The gens can spawn inside the rooms, in the corridors and in the courtyard. The only places where I haven't seen a gen are the toilets, the stairs, the gate areas, the reception (but it can spawn in the room behind it) and the small locker room (not the large one, that one can have a gen). The only guaranteed spawns are the music and the chemistry classroom, but only one of those at a time, if I'm not mistaken.

Use Felix perk "Visionary."

The only one I still get confused on is Midwich. Lerys & The Game I've pretty much got down now, it does feel that it's more random on that map and that there's more empty rooms where gens don't spawn. I do spend more time on Midwich finding gens rather than working on gens it seems and also this map doesn't come up often for me so I really do need to find the time to get into a KYF and spend more time on that map - this is how I tend to learn maps in general though.

Aside from the flickering lights on Lery's (+ one always in the middle) and next to doors on The Game (+ one always in the bathroom next to the basement) on Midwich a gen usually spawn either in the middle of the map or in front of one of the gates.
Midwich is fairly new so outside of those gens i didn't notice anything that can help you navigate the map to find gens aside from the perk Visionnary or Bond.

Visionary, Deja Vu, or a Map.

Afaik the only consistent gen spawn pattern on midwich is piano room and chemistry lab always spawning 1 gen each, simply because those two trigger this map's easter egg.

oh yeah ^^ but does the spawn of those rooms changes or is it consistent ? i never got the achievement coz i nver knew exactly how does the rooms looks ahah

I just finished a game on Midwich with no gen in the Piano Room. It definitely doesn't always spawn one. Meanwhile the chem lab had one.
So as Bwsted said, you get either or but not both.

The gen right outside piano room counts as a piano room one I think.
I'm not entirely sure that either one of those always spawns, as I think about it. It should be working this way, but does it?
Consistent iirc.

Lights flicker in areas where there are unfinished gens on inside areas or maps, best example is the Haddonfield house!!
The best tip for finding gens is if you ever don't know what to put in your build, use visionary, it prevents three gens and actually makes it really easy to find gens!

Midwich and Hawkins are just really poorly done from a DbD gameplay perspective. It's tough. Midwich is an incredibly frustrating map

In midwich you can see the generator lights through windows but really that doesn't help much since you can only see the lights when you're almost right next to the damn gen

echolocation

Since the flickering lights or their long pole don't work inside, all I have been able to rely on is judging distance. If there is a generator here the closest one should be at least 2 room away so look in all the rooms matching that. Or if you don't hear any done gens in a big area of the map, they should be at least 1 undone one in there.

Run Detectives or Visionary

On Lerrys there are blinking lights above doors, The game look for closed gates, on Midwich there is nothing to help you find it
