Is playing from China on American servers with a VPN ok?
Recently I’ve come across more Chinese steam accounts playing DBD on Americans servers, which I’m assuming is via a VPN (virtual private network) so they can play on any server they wish. It’s either that or matchmaking has hit an all time low.
Whats the deal with is? Is it allowed, should I be reporting it?
Its making the experience less pleasurable than usual :(

Its scummy, because if the vpn player is a killer, he will have latency advantage over those who play survivors on their native servers. Also american players are less competetive and more casual then other regions, so asian player can have a huge skill advantage too.

Can they get rid of latency? No.
Do they have region locked matchmaking? No.
They sould.
I dont mind if you live in the middle of nowhere, you still can play with people living in the middle of nowhere with you, or stay away from games.
Sorry, but if you come to me to abuse latency with your VPN, i consider it as a third party software, so you have to be banned, period.
Unfortunately, it looks like there is no intention to do these...

These Chinese are fu*ked up with VPN and ping ~500! Leave the American servers. You're nothing but trouble! It is impossible to enjoy the game. Developers don't care about this problem!

A similar problem happened with PUBG ironically, along with a ton of cheating that came with it.
The problem is games like PUBG and DBD are not permitted by the CCP, so they literally have to use a VPN otherwise they cannot play. What is the solution? I really don't know as the CCP are not likely to change their minds on this so it leaves people in mainland China no other option but a VPN

probably not with your daddy, but BHVR doesn't care
