What do you count as a "win"?
Not sure how to explain this but since this is a game where you don't exactly win or lose, I'll write what i consider a win when playing both sides. Tell me if you agree or not.
When playing Killer:
- 4k is obviously 100% victory
- 3 kills and 1 hatch escape is a win
- 2 kills and 2 escapes is more of a grey area. If it was a strong team and we all played well, I consider it a good game, but not exactly a win.
When playing Survivor:
- All 4 escaping through gates is 100% victory
- If i get killed but my efforts let the other 3 escape, it's a win
- Same as above, 2 killed and 2 escapes doesn't feel like a win to me
- Escaping through hatch is technically a win but doesn't feel like one for some reason

A good match.
4 -
4 stacks of BBQ/WGLF
2 -
That's a very good outlook to have. If you had fun then its a good match.

10 or more hook states, regardless of kills
or
4k with BW with even only one hook
or 9 Hooks with 4 moris.
Anything else is a loss

It depends on what's going on. The other day I was playing nurse and for me a win was get my bbq stacks. And it was super fun, even though I mostly didn't kill anyone, didn't get the entity displeased.
If I get matched with survivors that are not too good, killing them is not really a win for me... and I usually get my hooks and let them go. When it's the other way around, the bbq stacks is enough for me.
As for survivor it depends. It may be a escape, even if single, depending on what my teammates did. Or even dying can be a win for me, if I feel like I didn't do the killer's game or gave him a free kill, because even if you're doing ok, bloodlust will get you eventually.
In the end, I just want to have fun, either "winning" or "losing". I don't care too much about it.

Killer: Salty survivors = win.
Survivor: 4 escapes, it's a team and even one murdered person is unacceptable just like IRL.

5 stuns and 25 teabags.

3 kills and up as killer
Surviving as survivor or running the killer so long they threw the game to kill me

Hooks and Emblem system you can actually draw even if you 3k or 4k and vice versa draw if you just do gens and leave but since i play more killer im more focused on the killer emblem system.
This whole notion of kills over hooks need to stop for the sake of the health of the game the system thats in the game rewards killer more for mutiple hooks mutiple chases etc. But due to 50 kill streak videos it pushing this idea of kills over hooks and that just going to encourage extreme slugging, camping and tunneling and low hook counts. This is all agreed a boring and unhealthly gameplay but thats where we are heading atm.
Im going to do everything i can to do hooks over kills as i find that more fun and rewarding and i hope for the health of the game that we can push this kill over hooks to the side and have hooks over kills gameplay.

as a killer
3 out of 4 is a win
I'm fine with 2 and 2. it's whatever.
as a survivor
If I get out it's a win.
If I die and 3 get out it's a win too.
The real question is, why are these topics even here? the game is supposed to be fun right? I've had games where I've lost and still had a lot of fun at the same time. so many people play this game like and E sport. that's one of the main problems with the community as a whole

3k as killer and an escape through the exit gates a survivor(or if I do something that allows another teammate to escape).

Killer: 3K or 4K
Survivor: Escape or 20k+ BP or Run the Killer for 4+ gens

3+ survivors outs a win.
3+ kills the killer wins.

What I count as a win as survivor is when I have had a good fun chase and pipped.
I don't play to escape, I play for chases.
If all gens are done I will try and get everyone out, even if I have to sacrifice myself for them.
As killer I play also for pip and having a fun match.
Sure it is try hard at times but if I get a 3k it is a win as I don't slug for the 4k.

For killer:
If I get lots of points and the survivors aren't salty as hell, especially when they also got lots of points.
For survivor:
Every gen that pops and I'm not dead is a blessing since I only play solo.

When they get salty in the endgame chat

Since I’m already Rank 1, a quality match that gives me at least brutal Killer.
I don’t even necessarily need to get a kill. As long as I don’t derank.

A "Win" in terms of rule set:
Killer wise:
everyone hooked atleast to second state..2 dead.
Survior:
If I died atleast everyone else made It out,I repaired the most gens, or I got out.

As a surv, running the killer for more than one gen is a victory for me, especially with my lack of skill. I'll take my solo one hook for that. When I'm teaching a group of newbies I only care about getting them out I know I'll die against even just a competent killer.
As a killer something like 6+ hooks and a couple of kills and I'm a happy lil Piggy.

In survivor : having faced a fair play killer.
In killer: not having dealt with a SWF lobby.
In these two situations, I had fun, that's enough for me (but, hey, it's really rare).

I qualify a 2k as a win. Ofc I'm very very lackadaisical as to whether or not survivors escape.
As survivor? A win is an escape through any means.

I really couldn't care less at this point because it's not fun to play to win anymore, but as killer, if any survivor escapes via the exit gates it's a loss imo. Even after closing the hatch.
As survivor...I have no idea.

Killer? At least 3 kills or a non-exit gate escape.
Survivor? Really just an exit gate escape but if I end up dying to save at least 2 teammates I'd consider that a runner up prize. Hatch escape I see as a draw.

For killers, I think a win should be determined by the number of hooks you get and not by kills.

I agree with the original post.
