Hello all!

I have recently run into a hard spot when accessibility and Dead by Daylight aren't necessarily a thing... I'm hard of hearing and normally with the volume up I do decently well but after the last update I have struggled hard listening for terror radius and skill checks, considerably more so than when I first started the game.

Does anyone have any tricks and tips/ unique perk combos that may help me out? I struggle the greatest against the Doctor (the static is incredibly hard to hear with) and the Oni/ Blight (his rushes and smashes take up all the audio range I possess).

Thank you in advance.

*Edit: I'm playing on Switch

Well if you struggle with hearing the terror radius spine chill will be your best friend. If that isn't enough and you want to devote 2 perks to it you can even try spine chill + premonition. I also have hearing problems and what helps me the most is using high quality headphones so sounds have a better distinction and they can go really loud.

I also incorporate spine chill into my main build and even combo it with resilience to get the fast vault build. It turns a perk reliance into a nice build.

If you have difficulty hearing the game, check the sound settings on your computer. sometimes the game volume is changed to low.

Also, if you don't use earphones, it is highly recommended to use them for better sound.

If you are using earphones, check them with other games or videos.

Happened to me many times that my earphones sound was very low until they no longer worked. I hope this is not the problem you have.

    About perks,

Depends on your play style and how you like to play in general.

Personally I like to arrange my perks especially for late game.

    The perks can be:

Adrenaline, Soul Guard, Spine chill, Left Behind.

    For team focus:

Diversion, Empathy, Borrowed Time, Bond. (You can change one or two perks for speed healing team etc)

To be careful from the killer:

Alert, Spine chill, Premonition, Lucky Break.

To be a little speedy and sneaky:

Dance With Me, Quick & Quiet, Lithe, Sprint Burst.

You can play with perks and eventually you will learn to dodge the killers who make it difficult for you.

The more you play with a particular killer, the more you learn to play against him over time.

Along with that, watch videos or streams of good Dead by daylight players. you will see tricks that you may have missed before.

I hope it helps ^^ have fun playing.

Headphones DO help, but even then I just hear the terror radius. If you match with me and I blow gens- I'm not incapable lol I just missed the sound que.

I sometimes run spine chill, but find it doesn't really help me much- its easier for me to pan camera and watch for movement.

I will fiddle more with my sound, but I don't think counsel is as complex when it comes to adjustments ad PC.

Thanks for the input! I will try some of your builds :)
