Match Time limit
Is there no match time limit? I knew a survivor was waiting on hatch so I started watching a disguised toast video, then I watched another after it ended. Then I decided to walk closer to the hatch and he finally left. After the match I hit him with the 'lul kekw and gg" and "good luck on your next :)" and then he said "######### off pussy" lul kekw

as a killer, you can start the ECG by opening the door. If the generators are not completed, you have to close the hatch to do so.

I mean the match time limit is closing the hatch or the survivor escaping while i see what you're saying it's best to just walk up and make them leave if you have it on video id suggest reporting them for taking the game hostage they can leave and are purposely choosing not too by definition they're breaking the rules but that could be a Gray Area.

I'm a rank 1 killer I know lol I just thought eventually the match would timeout haha so like I can stretch a public match out a full 24 hours without it timing out?

I honestly want to see what happens if you stretch a match out as long as possible now tbh, like the server has to give out eventually right?

There should be a hard limit implemented. It might be arbitrarily large tho :P

A survivor being willing to wast 20 minutes of his time just for a very cheap spit move to the killer, followed by a pretty childish insult in chat.
Sounds like the standard DBD survivor main player.

i don't understand this post at all, could you not have closed the hatch or open the door? i don't get it. the game doesn't need a match time limit. egc exists already.

His point was pretty simple, the survivor was on the hatch, but decided to camp on it instead of leaving just to be able to BM him for a second when it got close before jumping infront of him.

there are sometimes situations with two guys left that can be dragged out for along time due to both gen placement/killer mobility and the lack of the hatch mechanic until one of those two survivors dies. I found myself ina bad situation with a couple of gens and a blight and another guy and we spent about ten minutes before accepting we would never be able to progress the gens faster than the blight could bounce between them since theyw ere close enough to be within los. The blight wouldn't be lured away from them either when I tried getting him to chase me a few times. idk how he did it but after a long time he opened the door lol even though we still needed a gen. I never found myself in a situation I needed to dot hat as killer since I'd just afk at a door by then, so no clue what he did lol.

There is no time limit on the actual match itself, there is a time limit on how long the post game lobby instance remains online before its closed.

Unfortunately killer has to force the end of the game in most scenarios
