Another event with no event earnable cosmetics
I thought at least after this horrendous update they would have discounted the new cosmetics for 9000 shards again, like Halloween event. Like some kind of peace offering.
But nope, a half baked event, no earnable cosmetics, just "log-in no need to play" rewards, are all we got. You guys really don't give any incentives to play anymore, you realize that right?

Yeah I am disappointed, we get discount on the cosmetics we could earn in previous events and they do actually introduce 2 new skins based on this theme (wraith and deathslinger) yet....we cant earn them? just....more money pls?
(the patch is actually really well timed by the devs, now everyone is upset about things inthe patch and basically ignore this "Event", we riotted during last blight event and they adressed the issue, which is nice, but now because people are so upset with the patch we just ignore the sad state of this "event")

disappointed too, basically there is nothing to do... i'll just complete the rift challenge and wait for next tome

Honestly , I wasn't expecting earnable cosmetics with the lunar new year since they said they were going to focus more on the Anniversary and Halloween event from now onward, and I'm happy they not only brought back firecrackers and red envelopes in the bloodweb (it was not a given since Winter Party Starters were not there during Christmas 🙄), but they added a new toolbox as well
I mean having earnable cosmetics again would be awesome, but I'm waiting to see what they can do for the Anniversary event before judging since they want to focus on that

They are not earnable but there are / will be cosmetics that you can unlock with a code. It would be more fun if those were tied to a specific challenge but these kind of challenges are more likely to be used for the anniversary and the Halloween event.

very underwhelming, a huge backwards progress, wow man, like 1 to 2 years ago events were cool, now this one is so lame

^ this. It was announced before, so anyone who is complaining either did not see that or expected more than they should have expected.
Personally, I just wait until the Anniversary Event and especially the Halloween-Event, because those should be good, if BHVR steps back from any other Events.

You mean the 4 items that are so called event special with only recolored version of old cosmetics. And what did they give exactly at Halloween event, could you refresh my memory. Since they are gonna focus on Halloween and anniversary, what did they do different/ special for them so far?

I mean, I also criticized them for the Halloween-"Event" in 2020, because it was even worse than 2019 and I always thought, it cannot be worse than that.
But yes, I have hope that the next Halloween-Event will be better and it would be just fair to see what they are doing.

Unfortunately you are right. I already seen players with new Deathslinger cosmetic. People really don't care about any of the stuff that has been going on. I guess that's why nothing ever changes for the better.

The special generators and hooks give bonus points. I don't know how much worse that is when compared to something like a 1.5x bloodpoint multiplier (in terms of bloodpoints gained), but it's something.
One thing I would like to see return for these "mini-events" are community challenges, like we had them for the first anniversary. Put them in as Rift challenges, but every player can contribute to them globally. Reward on completion would be the skins that are available through codes for this event. The concept of community challenges was cool and it's a shame that it was never done again. The "infrastructure" of the existing challenges should make it feasible to do them again.

I believe the login rewards are to just give off the impression the game isn't in a bad spot right now. If you turn on the game, collect your reward and turn it off. Their data thinks you played all day

Yep, they are trying to mask the dissatisfaction with boosted statistics. We will see how it is after the event is over.
