Why is the killer POV so hard to mantain?
How'd they manage to make all killer POV's broken?
The reason why hits look so god awful on survivor POV is because the killer POV's are more foward than usual, father away from the actual killer model in-game, like Freddy.
That's what I think is happening as thats what happens for Freddy, remember the bug where when you first loaded into a match, you would see how the killer would look if the killer POV was accurate? Freddy's arm was literally extended enough to fit the killers POV.
I still don't understand how they managed to break the POV's in this update, especially with this patch having NOTHING to do with the killer's POV. No changes listed, it's very odd.

That's not it, the bug consisted in the killer idle position + his arms in the POV postion, you can see that most of them are contorted and shaky since the animations are "overlaping",
What's happening now, and somehow, is total desync, for both sides but it's way worse on survivors' side. The distance is normal for 1 side and for the other it's way far, as you can is in OTofu's video.
But the loading bug does not correlate to this desync.

Ah, I see. thanks for the info, I didn't know for sure since during that bug, Freddy's hand was literally extended to fit the POV, so I thought it would be the same for this bug.

Yeah, it was a visual glitch only BUT. Freddy's range IS REALLY IFFY, even before this desync problem... The devs say it's just a "perspective" since he's short, but I've never faced this kinda hits against hag (wich is considerably shorter than Freddy and use her claw as a weapon so, similar to his)...
Idk, Freddy in particular always had problematic hits... Maybe it's because He's actually the OG Freddy (Robert Englund) wearing the new one (Jackie Earle Haley) face.

I've checked it with someone else playing against me and from what I've seen the killer felt much closer than he was to me as a survivor

so they broke the animations so badly it causes desyncing?

That would actually be my guess... Either that or they've messed up with map rework and somehow it echoed in desync animations (spaghetti code at its best) since the desync is really bad in Father's and Gideon... Don't know if it was in Asylum since they've took it off rotation...
Also is good to remember that somehow the animations, HUD and/or reworked maps caused the fat shaming in the fun bus...
Some people love their spaghetti.
