Are you still able to change the perk icons?

I remember you were told to remove perk icons (For example, I had the original pink perks) because the EAC (Easy Anti Cheat) Would lock you out of the game for "hacking"
Is this still a thing?

If I remember correctly and I may be wrong the devs dont care if you change it but if you get banned for it they wont help you out. So it's like a use at your own risk kinda thing.
