History:

Louisa's life was not a bed of roses. Since childhood she was being prepared for marriage to an influential and wealthy man. She was brought up by her mother who wanted to provide her child with the prosperity she herself had never experienced. Already at the age of 7 she could read and express herself eloquently, which helped her to fulfil her mother's dreams. At the age of 18 she married the rich Count Emmanuel Richard Mounhabierre II and lived in his palace. She had no great affection for him, but her opinion did not count. After a few years, the woman became pregnant, bearing the fruit of unrequited love. Everything changed when, in the fifth month, she miscarried. From that moment on, her husband was no longer the same, he changed into a completely different person. He fell into alcoholism and began to abuse Louisa, accusing her of what had happened. She lost all joy in life as she was constantly insulted. Walking around the dark palace in the evenings, she looked in the mirrors to see a shadow of her own personality. On the other side of the mirror, in this very small world, lived a poor boy. His name was Arthur Walter and he lived with his father, who was famous for his beautiful glassware. He was raised by his strict father after his mother died in childbirth. One day, he went with his parent to the palace of the Count of Mounhabierre, where he saw a beautiful woman. He immediately sunk into her emerald eyes. As he approached the lady to hand her the mirror, his heart began to beat faster. Louisa smiled and thanked him with a slight hesitation in her voice. As he walked away, she sighed in infatuation with the mysterious glassblower. Thinking of him she returned to her chamber carrying a beautifully decorated mirror. Since then, she could not forget the boy. She had only been waiting for the day when she could see him again. The woman had the idea of commissioning Walters to make new stained glass windows for the ballroom in the palace. She intended to learn the name of her chosen one this way. As the time for the meeting drew near, Louisa hoped to see her lover. She waited impatiently for the glaziers to arrive. As soon as she heard the bell, she ran quickly to open the door. At the entrance, she greeted the two men and indicated the place where the stained glass windows were to appear. As she led them into the hall, she contemplated how to confess the feeling she had for the young man. While the position was being examined by an experienced glazier, leaning out of the doorway, she secretly beckoned the boy to follow her unnoticed. The countess frankly and without hesitation confessed to him the affection she had for him and wanted to know if it was reciprocated. On hearing this he also confessed his love for her, drew her to him, raised her hand and blew her a kiss. Arthur quickly returned to his father to help measure the stained glass windows for the hall, glancing at Louise every now and then. When their work was finished, the men said their goodbyes and left the Earl's palace. Having confessed their feelings for each other, for a long time the lovers secretly met, of which only Louise's trusted servant, Giselle, knew. With time the Count began to suspect something when his wife increasingly disappeared for the whole day and returned late in the evening. One day he followed his wife to test her fidelity, it turned out to be fragile. When he found out, he decided to take revenge on his lovers for the act they had committed. Emanuel planned his revenge carefully and meticulously. He came up with the idea of killing the boy's father. Under the pretext of buying glass beads for his wife, he went to the glassmaker's shop and severely mutilated Arthur's father with a dagger. He stood over the victim until he breathed his last. At the scene of the crime he left evidence of the lovers' guilt. He put only a small handkerchief with Louisa Mounhabierre's name embroidered on it in the glassmaker's pocket. When evening came, Arthur returned home after another encounter with his lover. Upon entering his father's studio, he found his corpse lying on the floor with the murder weapon stuck in his heart. He stood there for a few moments as he could not believe who could have committed such an act. Although his relationship with his father was not usually easy, he loved him and knew that he loved him too. With an aching heart, he took out the dagger stabbed into his father so that his soul would suffer no more. He said goodbye to him by saying a prayer and ran out of the crime scene to go to the Mounhabierre court. When he arrived, he asked the maid Giselle to call Louisa, to whom he told what had happened. Showing her the dagger, the woman said with horror on her face that she knew the owner of the object. She declared that it belonged to her husband. When Arthur learned the truth about the perpetrator he burst out in anger. The woman tried to calm him down, but it was no use. He broke a vase on the hall table. Louisa invited him to stay the night in the servants' bedroom to cool down. The next day, the police arrived at the palace and found evidence of Louisa's guilt on the glazier's corpse. The door was opened by a maid who alerted the couple to the arrival of the authorities. She gestured to the uniformed men to slow them down. In this way, the young couple had more time to leave the palace. They quickly ran outside through the back exit, where a carriage was already waiting for them. As they sped along the road, only snow dust floated behind them. The police were catching up with the couple when suddenly the rays of the rising sun blinded the horse pulling the carriage. The frightened animal ran onto a stone bridge that was covered in ice. The carriage and the lovers unhitched from the carriage and fell into the river, breaking through the thick surface of the frozen river. The couple, cuddled up to each other, disappeared in the dark depths of the murky, icy water. And their souls joined together remained on earth to take revenge on their enemies. Three weeks had passed since this incident. Emmanuel decided to find himself a new wife, unfortunately fate wanted it to be Giselle, whom the Count forced to marry. One evening an uninvited guest appeared in the palace. It was the metamorphosed Shadow of Louisa and Arthur. Seeking revenge he killed the Count in his sleep. Mara left only a short letter stating that the entire estate be given to his fiancée. This was the only thing that could change the woman's fate. After reading the letter, she fell to her knees and cried with happiness. Then a mist appeared in which the Count's corpse disappeared together with his shadow. The police never found the wealthy man thinking that he had left without informing them. the end

The story of a survivor Giselle is a talented ballerina with an interest in her family history. She belongs to a wealthy French family involved in glassware. Compared to other rich children, she was not pampered, but taught that with hard work you can get to anything. When she turned 16, she went to her first job, following the example of her great-grandmother, who with diligence and a good heart gained a great fortune. She fights to get back the woman's palace, which was taken away by the occupants during the war and was appropriated by the government afterwards. The only thing she managed to take with her was half of a sizeable collection of glass brooches. Some were hidden in the palace, which was falling into disrepair. The girl's family has long since given up, as the costs are too great and the building unsalvageable. The only person who did not stop fighting for her family's heritage was Giselle. One day she decided to break into the palace to recover the rest of the priceless collection. The hiding place was marked on the plan of the building and it was a hiding place under the floor. When the girl opened the casket, she was surrounded by a mist from which came a woman's voice calling the girl, who without thinking went towards it, only to disappear in a puff of smoke.

The map is the abandoned estate of Mouchabierre, which Giselle inherited after the Count disappeared. During the war it was taken by the occupiers and then appropriated by the government and fell into disrepair. In the main part of the map would stand the chateau, around it a garden with abandoned stables, an assassin's cottage, a small gazebo and a small building for servants, the map would be surrounded by a strong brick fence with turrets as gates.
