Are people overreacting to DS change?
The current proposed version by the devs could be a little tweaked such as the healing. But I'm hearing something that is showing it's abused and more on the fault of Solo Q potatoes and to use to the old version
1. My teammates will try and use it when they don't need to that's not DS that's your teammates fault not DS. Nothing new average solo q.
2. They'll slug me that's always been a thing to counter the perk. It's nothing new. And I swear have people forgoten you can run DS+UB. A combo that'll still be strong after the nerf. Many of the best perks have a counter. Ruin destroy it. BBQ hide in a locker. Unbreakable pick them up. Borrowed Time get the unhooker.
3. I started fixing a gen then they find me. Then you weren't getting tunneled. You are to accustomed to DS guaranteeing an escape it's a change yes but it'll help with the bad habit of I can just sit and be safe.
Yes DS change is something big but it's a change that'll we'll need to get use to that's all.

Both the DS and OoO changes aren't set in stone. OoO change is perfect in my opinion, DS might get changed more depending on feedback from the PTB.
But in general, yes- People tend to overreact to any change made to this game. These kinds of statements are made all the time, on both sides.

Top tier perks being looked at brings out the bad players with the most awful opinions everytime. Lullaby and prove thy self gets nerfed and you get competent discussions, DS & ruin gets nerfed and here comes the worst players imaginable.

From what I've seen I think a decent chunk of people are overreacting. Getting a lot of "the killer downed me/was playing the game so he was tunneling" types coming out since the announcement and people saying things like "but if I jump on a gen then the killer comes for me 15 seconds later I was still tunneled". They don't understand part of the problem was they could make progress and use it as a free pass essentially and that they put themselves in the killers way half the time as well. Also, as commonly said "If you're on a gen you're not being tunneled" and may I add if you are getting tunneled and you jump on a gen that's your fault and not the perks.
It going from absolute free pass for whatever to something more focused/tame has really set off the people who heavily rely on the perk or just don't understand the situation imo.

Yes but same can be said about most of the perk nerfs. Killer or survivor.
New ds will be more fair imo.

When have they listened to our feedback?
Imagine how many people will suck once DS is changed. Like if they removed auto aim from CoD, so many people wouldn't be able to hit the broadside of a barn.

Ok but have you ever hit your ds and the game decided it wouldn't work because that happened to me.

True!

To answer your first question people said Freddy, Bubba, Doc, Spirit and ghostface were weak and they listened to feedback and buffed them now there not bad. They changed auras people hated it but they changed it back. They nerfed every god loop and got rid of Insta heals and BNP.

Let me rephrase the question.
How likely are they to listen to our feedback?
Some of those changes you mentioned were from the ptb and was adjusted quickly. others not to much. Freddy took 2 years to rework. Bubba also took a few years for a rework. Freddy is A tier while I still put bubba in low mid tier. BNP were a plague upon the game and they only nerfed them because killers stopped playing against toolboxes. Insta heals were also heavily abused and took a long time for the devs to fix them. I remember the days of hitting someone as Nurse then as I blink to land a 2nd hit they healed in mid blink.

This community overreact to a change? The hell you say 😉

Only bad survivors complains about it. I'm very happy as survivor having 60 seconds of DS, I think they could have nerfed it to 45 seconds really.
