Claudette mains: Do you get more hate for playing Claudette?
I feel like since switching from Kate to Claudette that I've gotten a lot more hate directed my way. Often, comments are along the lines that I didn't do anything but hide the entire match, which is never true.

As a former claudette main yes I have gotten hate. I have also been tunneled because they hated claudette. It's why i switched to Adam.
But to be honest I can understand why. Claudette has a terrible stigma of either being toxic, (because of certain youtuber) or either extremely useless.

only downside to Adam is that he is very tall, so playing stealth is harder

Yeah I had to give up my stealth card. But now I know how to run killers for half a gen so that's a plus I guess.

I mean, Claudette or Blendette? They are a very different thing.
Blendette is like admitting you are going full meta full sweat, there is nothing wrong with that either if you want to play that way- just don't complain when the same is done to you.

i will dodge a lobby with 2+ claud's depending on their cosmetics.

I play P3 Claudette a lot (I’m not a great looper so I rely more on stealth) and I don’t really get any hate

Only once, when someone blamed me for doing stereotypical claudette things... when it was another claudette lmao

All the time. I actually tried switching to Kate, but got hardcore tunneled 5 games in a row with her so I gave that up

More people definitely comment on how I play post-game when I'm Claudette. It's not an overwhelming difference, but it is something I've noticed.

As a killer main, I don't hate on an individual Claudette. BUT if its 3 or 4 identical Claudettes, they'll be getting some salt

I don't know is it just me but the new breed of Claudettes seem more capable and less toxic than those in ochido times. At least as teammates. I don't play killer much like I did before so I might be wrong.

The only survivors I stereotype are Steve, Cheryl, or Meg.
Steve is often toxic and will farm you off hooks.
Cheryl is usually super toxic but not cocky or has zero clue how to play the game, there is no in-between.
Meg will farm you then DC when the killer decides to not tunnel off hook.

I've never played another survivor. Claudette is literally the only one I play and I've never had a game where something was said about her. I've got so many items and addons as I dont level up anyone else.

I'm so glad we moved past ochido and his toxicity. He is definitely one of the reason why claudettes are stigmatized as being toxic.

They are either Blendy's or they are super toxic.
Only Survivors I know that have a positive stereotypes are Steve's, cuz they'll take hits.

Depends on the cosmetics: if they're bright or noticeable it's likely not a Blendette. But that's kind of the case for anyone wearing bright cosmetics- those are usually the loopers who live to juke the Killer for several gens 🤷♀️

So one round I finished 2 and a half gens all by myself, I got 4 safe unhooks, healed pretty much everyone, but because I hid when the killer came by I got so much hate for "doing nothing all round". I got the most BP and double pipped, but because they saw me hiding I'm clearly useless and only hid all round. Yeah I get so much hate for being Claudette

This is the general problem I see in the community. People make a lot of asumptions about their teammates and are quick to blame others without knowing the full story.
Don't worry about it. If you pip you contributed something to the team.

I think that's key- ppl need to look at the final points before they make their assumption. But most ppl just leave to get to the next game, so most ppl probably really never know.

And that was my point. We all have different experiences and see the Survivors differently.
My first match in DBD was against an "Ochido" Claudette squad. Flashlights, Adrenaline,OldDS ect. They were Rank 1's except for the one Rank 20 they used to abuse the matchmaking and play against new Killers.
Horrible experience but I killed the Rank 20. I was subsequently spammed with vile messages for the next 4 hours. Nearly made me quit.

I used to play Claudette all the time. Idk if I got more hate or not because, and get this I'm about to unleash never-before-seen tech onto the DbD community, I literally don't care what other people say about who I play in a video game.
