looks it being just atad tougher to juke and tad easier to hit evened things out a bit if that was the way it turned out on tournament level. did they have to limit perks in some way, like the number of survivors on the etam allowed to use ds or did they use the changed ds version instead? I'm curious about everything in play there since I would expect many of the matches to have ended with 1 kill if I'm being honest if the teams were all on comms and the very best like no one ever was.

Perks and items were heavily restricted. No duplicates and no keys.

The tournament has been pretty bad so far. The killers only seem to camp, no kidding.

and they only averaged 2 kills with those restrictions in place at high skill levels? lol holy chit. imagine without restrictions lul then it probably would be all escaped or 1 kill half the time at least

Exactly. Killers struggled even with restrictions.
No real meta. 4x DS, BT, Unbreakable, DH and it would have turned into a 0k.

I'm pretty sure this game is gonna bleed off most of the boon it gained thanks only to house arrest mode last year once newer games come out this year if they're even halfway decent and fun to play.

Side note it's a super common misconception that that song says "each pokemon to understand" but the official lyrics says "teach pokemon to understand".

Yes.
Due to how most Tournaments handle scoring, tunneling and camping works best to secure a higher score by the end. In this case, kills score much higher than hooks, so kills become the name of the game. Furthermore, the Killer is ALWAYS up against a tourney-level-swf, and knows they will be playing as optimally as possible. This rules out standard gameplay since the Survivors will maximize their ability to starve the Killer of hooks and kills by the end of the game. As such, any catch MUST be camped for the kill to ensure a higher score. Furthermore, Survivors get their highest score from surviving the trial. Due to this, taking risks to make saves is considered extremely dangerous to the team score. So much so that it's often simply not worth it.
It is very boring, but it's just how the game looks when played optimally on both sides at the highest level of play.

It's possible another reason they added the hook counter is if they planned to change how points are tallied in a competitive seen. From reading what you guys have posted basing points around kills seems like it leads to a pretty boring viewing experience.

They also aren’t allowed to use the strongest killers in the game and there’s many other things restricted for killers so this has no indication of you’re crazy idea that this game is extremely survivor sided. Plus I’ve only watched like 1 match and the killer was getting stuck on corners and looping the wrong way and made terrible decisions. It was like green rank gameplay.

I see a problem with the hook counter. It counts hook stages as hooks. So someone who suicides on the first hook, counts as 3 hooks instead of 1.

Oh survivors played similarly. Very passive, very save. 1 being on the hook and 3 at the gate with no NOED? Lets escape instead of going for the guaranteed save.

Yeah you're right I forgot about that, that wouldn't work then unless they changed the color of the slots if the stages are more from a single hook

you press the confirm button over redeem code in the store , and then over the blank text spoot and use the onscreen virtual keyboard, then hover cursor over the redeem and hit confirm again. I honestly can't believe somebody didn't figure that out yet can navigate the rest of the game's UI
