Most optimal Bubba build

What is your most optimal Bubba build? Been experimenting with:

  • Whispers: quickly locate your first victim
  • Iron Grasp: once downed, get them to the basement, or a hook optimal for camping
  • Insidious: pitch that tent, and now we play the waiting game
  • NOED: if the above three perks didn't get you at least 2 kills, this little baby will come in clutch if the other survivors are tunnelling gens while you are toasting your mallows back at the campsite. Combines nicely with Whispers for terrorizing exit gates.

This makes me sad to read 😥 Bubba is better than just a simple camper lol

I'm basically a Bubba main and my build is:

    • Corrupt Intervention - Helps you get rid of a few pallets or get at least 2 hooks before a gen is done.
    • BBQ - Points are amazing also the information it provides is extremely good.
    • Pop Goes The Weasil - Big gen regression perk
    • Tinkerer - A 1 hit down killer who can out run sprint Burst can lose his terror radius when a gen is nearly done. Also it has good synergy with PGTW.

You can also swap out any perk for Bamboozle. I only recently removed it but I know how amazing it is on Bubba.

    For a camping Bubba build,

    Corrupt Intervention

    NOED

    Bitter Murmur

And then any other 4th perk (maybe Whispers like you said, or Knockout, Blood Warden, or Insidious)

makes it literally impossible not to 2k unless you are AWFUL at downing survivors.

Corrupt and Whispers will help you secure an early down before too much progress is made on gens, and then Bitter Murmur will help you locate the last survivors once they think they have any hope of leaving. NOED is a must of course.

If you can get your first down within a minute of the game starting, the other survivors will not have enough time to finish all the gens before you can start the hunt for a new camping buddy, and they can kiss goodbye their dreams of cleansing every totem before NOED pops up.

Unfortunately, face camping Bubba with a build like this is viable for getting a decent number of kills LMAOOO

I like your build but I'd make a few minor tweaks, swap Corrupt for Whispers, BBQ for Iron Grasp, PGTW for Insidious, and Tinkerer for NOED.

Bubba can struggle on large maps and certain loops, however there is a basement on every map, so I think this build and strategy is optimal and most consistent.

Ah yes I tried Bitter Murmur as well. The 10 second aura goes so well with NOED. Also watching the auras around the map as they pop various gens can provide brief but welcome moments of entertainment as you stare through the basement wall.

LMAOOO, camping Bubba is so hated but lowkey SO funny. The only unfortunate part is that he is literally guaranteed kills for very little effort on his part. It sounds like Bitter Murmur is very necessary entertainment while camping!!! Hate when your camping friend won't do anything other than sit on a hook and refuse to talk :///

When I get cross progression from my Switch account I definitely plan on playing a least a game or two of Bubba with the aforementioned Bubba build LOL

    Try this out.

    • Whispers: same reason
    • insidious: same reason
    • iron maiden: so you can still down people who hide in lockers against bubba
    • Agitation: because its the better than iron grasp and waster less time.

Also for some tips don't use your chainsaw so they don't know its bubba and make sure to bring the central building basement offering so you can get to it faster.

Pretty bad, and will get hard countered by any kindred users.

There’s no reason to use iron grasp over agitation.

Nobody really falls for insidious basement Bubba anymore.

Why would you use NOED on a killer with a built in 1 shot?

Best build is probably corrupt, pop, bamboozle, monitor.

Without bamboozle good survivor will basically never get chainsawed and can hug jungle gyms / the shack all game.

Regarding NOED: like you said a good survivor won't go down to a chainsaw, so NOED allows you to M1 them into oblivion on any loop. Also the speed boost aint bad.

Also the best part about using NOED is you get people complaining about your NOED even when you get a game you manage to snowball when gens are still up.

I like the way you think. I'll look into these perks, but can't take NOED off, of course.

It's not the most optimal but i just love chase focused builds:

    -BBQ

    -Enduring

    -Spirit Fury

    -Bamboozle

I would use bloodwarden over NOED on bubba.

Endgame most of the pallets should be gone anyways, he really doesn’t need it and it’s a waste of a perk slot IMO.

There’s really no situation where you are not going to be able to chainsaw the last guy given unlimited time (since you probably already lost if NOED is going off) and it’s not like you need it to camp the hook either.

The only perk you need for basement Bubba is agitation. Any more than that and it’s over committing to a basement that might be in a terrible spot on the map. And you really really want corrupt intervention / bamboozle in there if you are playing at red ranks.

I think everyone is missing your point on the best camping build for Bubba LMAO

    SilentPill Member Posts: 1,302

He didn’t say camping build, he just said most optimal build. And it’s definitely not optimal to be camping, because camping will be punished heavily by a good team. And then you depip even with a 2k with NOED at the end.

“Most optimal build” implies winning the game. And the best way to do that is gen regression perks and chase perks.

You will get dumped on so hard by a good team without bamboozle. You will lose ~3 gens in 2-3 minutes without corrupt.

There’s also very little reason to camp with Bubba when you could camp with Hag. Might as well just go all out and play the character made for it.

Personally what I find works for me is

Pop Goes the Weasel - A great regression perk that works great on Bubba, better than Ruin as he doesn't have mobility.

BBQ and Chili - Synergises well with Pop, allows him to plan ahead often knowing someone is in a certain place plus extra bp.

Bamboozle - Helps with Bubbas biggest weakness, windows. Blocks them off making some loops amazing for Bubba.

Enduring - Allows you to be cocky on pallets without losing alot of distance, works great on Bubba as often you'll get an instadown where otherwise it would have been too risky.

Consistent for only getting a kill or 2 again against good teams lol mines is more of a 3/4k build.

Basements are on every map but not always in the middle which hurts any basement style builds.

    My build is:

    -Pop Goes the Weasel

    -Discordance

    -BBQ

    -Hex: Devour Hope

This Devour Hope comes from one of Monto's old builds, and I gotta say it is so good when it works. No one expects this perk on Bubba, and you hide your stacks if you want to.

With bubba this is my build and about 2 perks that can be very beneficial especially in Sluggear.

-Tinkerer: The good thing is that you have information on who is in a generator, you can go and attack them stealthily with the chainsaw.

-Pop Goes the Weasel: To protect generators and you take 25% progress.

-Bamboozle: It can be very easy for you to attack them and not use a window, for example Shack.

-Corrupt intervention: An anti-generator calms the game at the beginning and you can catch the first 2 with bubba maybe.

    2 PERKS.

    - Infectious Fright: Once you catch one with a chainsaw, if there is someone, feel free to go for it, build pressure.

-Knock Out: Once you knock them down, if there is someone within 16 meters they will see the survivor's aura, if they are far no one will see it. This pairs really well with Infectious Fright.

Bamboozle to make up for strong windows

Ruin so getting reward for pressure

Bbq so I know where to apply my pressure

    Monitor corrupt or pop

And always either a chillie or speed addon or both to make a very solid bubba

    Toxic SWF destroyer build:

    Lightborn, mad grit, agitation, bamboozle

    My Basic build:

    PGTW, Oppression, BBQ, Bamboozle

I'd also like to try the bubba train build where you run PWYF and coupe de grace.

Pop, BBQ, Iron Maiden, Bamboozle. Pop and BBQ: pretty standard. Iron Maiden counters people jumping in lockers, and Bamboozle eliminates the major weakness of chainsaw killers: windows.

  • My favorite thing about Bubbas like that is they always DC when their face camp actually fails for once lol.

They are probably my favorite thing to play against honestly when in a SWF:
