Isn't Home Sweet Home a single-player game?
1 -
Nah multiplayer, 4 survivors one "spectre" like dbd
2 -
At least someone got a kick out of my bored rambling 😂
3 -
Oof. Last line gave me flashbacks to the early 2000s.

The YouTube videos online of the game seem okay, but looks quite rough around the edges (as expected in initial telease, so won't hold that against them). I'm uncertain about its potential longevity, based upon the narrow focus to a single game. If it had not focused on a game and instead zoomed in more on folklore in general, there would be more potential for expansion.
It's going to be quite some time before DBD would be at any risk from other challengers. A 4v1 game would have to come up with a more unique idea to make it properly competitive.

They said the same for Friday the 13th.
They said the same for resident evil Resistance.
They are saying the same for this.
People. Just pick your game and stop worrying about one game "killing" (I use that loosely) one another.
Maybe you can finally move one from DBD that ya'll hate so badly.
No game is dying.

It does have potential but it didn't look too great in it's current state, obviously since it's in early access I won't hold that against it. If it ever comes out of EA I'll judge it, but for now I just think it looks okay

Oh I know, this game won't die for a while. If Friday the 13th, a video game about one of, if not the most iconic horror icons didn't kill this game I don't think any game will.
I just made this post as a joke about those kind of posts

Why tf would they think rese7 would kill dbd? You mean Resistance, right?
0 -
Yeah probably meant resistance, but who knows since I'm pretty sure that games already dead
0 -
Yeah I think the devs stopped support a whole back. That game was dead as soon as it was packeged into Rese3 lmao, hopefully Re:Verse is slightly more enjoyable and it lives long enough to make it to the Rese4make and have more people actually playing it.

Who the hell said Resident Evil 7 would kill Dead by Daylight?
Do you mean Resident Evil Resistance? No one with common sense thought that Resistance would kill DBD regardless because both are two completely different games. If anything it was obvious Resistance was going to die because Capcom tends to heavily neglect their multiplayer games.

I've barely watched any gameplay so far but i'm hoping the game turns out to be good. Everyone always says if DbD had competition they'd have to step their game up and i'd like to see that happen.

Yeah I meant Resistance.
Sorry forgot that name even existed in the franchise.

Last year would have gone on if it weren't for le bat flu this is a game coming out of le bat flu so I hope it has a better chance and tje company dont vwt screwed over in a way.
Its not the dbd people omg bhvr is gonna die. That worrys me.
Its the dbd fans that go into the other games fanvase and begin a crusade. That worry me.
I remember this one guy who played dbd and he played last year for like one week. That guy was relentlessly shat on like he was like a taco bell toilet. With people going how dare you turn your back on us rah rah rah.
Theese kinda people can actually damage us not only the communitys reputation but it also means an actual potential competitor cant grow.
Dbd needs a competitor rn. To get bhvr out of 2nd gear and into 4th
And if it ain't home sweet home it should hopefully jebash vs the evil dead game which is coming.
I don't think it will kill the game but hey at the same time if the game was to die i woudnt honestly be bothered.

Never heard of it, but it looks pretty cool. I don't think it'll kill DBD though, but I hope it sparks a kind of rivalry at least.
It's nice to get some spooky stuff from other cultures and the style is quite nice to boot, I'm equally happy to hear that we might be getting an original Killer like that in DBD soon. Plus, anything with music like Dreadout is an instant buy from me.

What is Home Sweet Home? All I see is an old 2017 game.
0 -
The whole name of the game is "Home Sweet Home:Survive", I believe it's a sequel of the game from 2017 you found

Different game, same title

While I seriously doubt it will even come close to killing DbD, I do plan to be in Home Sweet Home: Survival when it goes public live and give it a whirl.
But I'm also a player that enjoyed Friday: The 13th and am neither married to, nor in love with, DbD in the first place.

I'm the same way. Depending on how much it costs I may play it, but I'll more than likely come back to dbd after a few weeks/months

From everything I saw on YouTube, it is Free to Play (and so far, says that at Steam) with the lootboxes and store being cosmetic only.
No doubt future Specters and Survivors will cost money, but it appears the base game is free. I also like that you buy your perks with the in-game currency you earn, as opposed to this randomized junk of DbD's bloodweb.
I have no issue with grinding when my grind goal is specific. But I hate the way DbD handles it. Honestly, if I wanted to grind just for the chance at RNG, I would go back to MMO raiding.
I've no interest in whether or not an asymmetrical game can kill or hurt DbD. I don't own any stock in BHVR, so ultimately don't care what happens with them. I just want one to come along that is decent enough, and holds enough of a community, that I don't have to fire this thing up anymore just for an occasional asymmetrical horror fix. Whenever it releases, I'll be trying Evil Dead: The Game for that precise reason, too.

DEAD REALM died :'( .

To be fair, I'm all for a game that gives this one a run for its money. Not because I have any intention to play it, but because I want a fire lit under the devs (not literally, of course :P ) to improve this game.

Remember Hide or Die? No, you probably don't.

God, I wish Capcom gave a toss about RE: Resistance. It would have gave a good shakeup to DbD's formula, but Capcom iced that game in the blink of an eye. There's still a few things DbD could snatch from its fetid corpse.

Adding Dragonball it anything is a quick way to make me uninstall it.
