Urban evasion vs fixated?
I just got back in dbd after a 2 year break. I know a number of perks that were very popular before just aren't anymore. I dont see urban evasion used all that much now but see fixated used in place of it. Is it actually faster or are there other reasons, like seeing your scratch marks?

Urban and Fixated are those perks that I would say are "neck to neck"
While you have to walk while using Fixated for the speed boost, you are much more visible, while Urban you have to be crouched for the speed boost
However, Urban crouching is slower than Fixated walking

yes, it is.
urban evasion makes you crouch at walking speed.
fixated makes you walk faster than default walk speed, so fixated is quicker.
also the extra benefit of scratch mark sight is nice too.

this but with Fixated you can abuse the new standing animations which make no sound while you do make sound when you go from standing to cruoching ^^

Yeah its weird coming back and having that and self care not used nearly as much. I do miss old hex ruin and remember me honestly. Good times

I use both, such a fun build with sprint burst too

Using spine chill, fixated and sprint burst is really strong stealth combo if you know how to use it properly, if you tap the run button to activate sprint burst, you actually 'walk' or jog alot faster without leaving scratchmarks and make quite a distance, especially if you get lucky with map/ tile, goes really well with lightweight or calm spirit, I'm surprised I haven't seen more people using it that way.

Lol and to come back when freddy was very weak and now he is among the best killers also caught me off guard. Things have definetly changed a lot and most of my old builds don't hold up anymore lol

I've really wanted to try out dance with me, lithe, fixated, and maybe red herring just to see if it can be a good time waster set up against killer

Lol thanks will do. We'll id you can think of anything noteworthy that I should know since shortly after Legion released feel free to throw it out there. I'm still learning a lot, like rifts are a thing which was a nice thing to find coming back although I'm bummed I missed out on stuff on each rift

sounds also really good, it's lot more fun to run than meta perks all the time you see on most people, and it catches lot of killers by surprise

the only thing youve really missed out on are charms- everything else will be returning to the store after a minimum period of 6 months (though it seems closer to a year i digress). theres obviously the map reworks, as youve probably seen, and ds got changed back in march 2019 to be a 5 second stun but only active for 40/50/60 seconds after a hook. thankfully this is being changed again next chapter. nurse also got changed so now it takes 4 seconds for her blinks to return and she's incredibly buggy now too! those are the first things i can think of that havent been mentioned yet.

Yeah I am into trying to find some fun non meta builds that are still useful. I a little bit want to do a total distraction build like red herring and pebble

Okau cool thanks for the info. I thought ds seemed different but I didn't use it before (to me it felt a little too toxic to the killer). I thought I heard nurse had a change but didn't know what it was. Also spirit is a lot better now which is also interesting. I'll let you know if I have any other questions.
