If camping is such a butt touching subject why not make devour hope base game play. Give the killer a reason to leave the hook. To WANT to leave and have the survivor saved.4

If everyone just started playing the game without being afraid to lose, there wouldn't be camping! Players don't camp because it's fun. They camp because you mock them or making the game boring.
.... And I noticed in a post up there. I agree. If they add this to the game I will probably camp to keep my rank lower. I don't really enjoy the toxic rank 1 gig. This will be perfect.

Guess you're out of the loop, when a survivor is 16 meters from a hooked survivor no penalty is applied, regardless or not there is a chase. Once another survivor is within 16 meters there is no regression. Not getting a penalty for the last surv or when in a chase is not really helping. You may have seen a Claudette lurking around while you were carrying. Your BBQ may not have given you any clues, making you think they're all nearby. Or you simply know this team is very altruistic. All valid reasons to stay near to the hook and search for survivors, and the new Chaser doesn't consider these.
It will only encourage more mindless hook swarming. There are so many better options to discourage hard camping1 -
What we really need is for 2 players with 8 meter radius perks to create a visual representation of the 16 meter distance.

No offence but no one can play this game while never camping. If all generators are complete and you don't camp the kill then I'm sorry but you're the trash one here.. There's multiple situations where camping is right.. I am against it as much as the survivors are yet I know when it's needed and when it's done at the wrong time.

Gonna keep "camping". Don't care about the bp loss because the sacs make up for it.
Yeah I do get mad at my team mates but im talking about always standing 5 meters away from the hook at all times while someone is on it.
That's just poor playstyle or someone new to the game. We do that and maybe get the sacrifice but not much else. Good survivors eat a killer like that alive (as they should!)

Lol, statements like that are usually said by people who have no clue how to play an effective killer. It's ok, though, you just don't know any better. I, for one, love this change. I no longer get penalized (by ranking up) for effectively guarding the hook.
In fact, they could "penalize" me more if they want! Make it an instant de-pip for engaging in a chase near the hook! Nice try. I 4k 90% of the time with different killers and play to have fun, not sit and "guard a kill" or tunnel. You justify it however you like sweetheart, you're just trash.
As someone with more then 1000 hours in this game I'm starting to question if you're really as good as you say or just some survivor main pretending to be a killer. No offence but no one can play this game while never camping. If all generators are complete and you don't camp the kill then I'm sorry but you're the trash one here.. There's multiple situations where camping is right.. I am against it as much as the survivors are yet I know when it's needed and when it's done at the wrong time. This could be the stupidest thing I've ever read... "No one can play this game while never camping"? WOW. Just so you know, I have never camped and never will. If the game enters a situation where camping would be acceptable, like end game and doors open, then the game is already over in my eyes and I'll take the loss. What you are doing is being ignorant. What he meant is to play the most optimally sometimes camping is needed. Can't you understand that? Okay, this is just ridiculous. I understand that some people need to and want to camp because they think it's optimal. In some situations, such as when the gates are open or people hook rush, then sure, go nuts, but that's not really camping is it? That's just survivors being dumb or the killer wanting to secure a kill. So what?
If you truly think that camping is optimal when 5-3 gens are still up, then you are just not good at the game. That is my opinion. Moreover, you are continually missing the point of the line I quoted. You keep ignoring it even though I have held it up to you twice now. I didn't misunderstand anything. I am not being ignorant. Just agree to disagree and move on, because I certainly am now.

I'm not ignoring your point but no one mentioned anything about camping with 5-3 gens left. I think he was referring to situations with Survivors rushing the hook or all gens are powered. Me and Fallen Utopia know each other in person and we both agree that camping with 5-3 gens is stupid. But we both also agree that some situations call for it. I lost track of this whole conversation but the bolded point is what i was saying. If there are 3-5 gens left and I hook someone and BBQ tells me every other survivor is within x meters of me...then I see two survivors with a flashlight or two crouching and CLEARLY trying to bait me off hook....well...consider it a campground because clearly I don't have to worry about gens.Blood_Coil_Viper said:

Likewise, if I am nurse and BBQ shows me 3 survivors near gens....well, I am off to rescue those poor gens!
Camping is a strategy, same is DS and flashlights, like it or not.
Learn to counter it or fail against it. On both sides. But the crybabies that tell me to commit suicide for camping....lol I think they might have bigger problems.1
