Why does the entity eat 3 perks sometimes

It's so annoying. And yes the first thing I do is steer to a perk take it (one gets taken by then entity). Sometimes I go right to the next perk I want and the entity takes that. Ok no big deal, straight to the last perk. Nah. Enitity takes that too. This has been in the game for too long.
The grind is horrific as it is, do we need to get bugged bloodwebs too?
