Keep it Up, Oni!
Just got out of a match on Rotten Fields against an Oni that was having a really hard time. They were getting lost in the corn a lot and were struggling to get downs. At 1 gen left I started feeling a little bad for them and decided I was going to let them kill me at the end and say some nice things in the chat.
They ended up hooking one of my teammates during the EGC and tried to proxy camp for the 1k. I jumped on a gate at first so I was a bit late to show up, but by the time I got back over by the hook the teammate had been saved with BT and the Oni had jetted off to the other exit gate to look for us. I started running in that direction too but they DC'd before I made it :(
Then we get to the lobby screen and I see they're a console player with a "<3" in their name - they wouldn't have been able to read my messages after the match regardless (unless they were Windows Store, I suppose), but the "<3" made me feel extra terrible, like I was just making a really happy person have a bad night.
If you happen to see this Oni, keep it up! He's not an easy killer to play well and the corn is hard for the best of us to deal with. Hope the rest of your games go well! <3
