The Trickster can play well without his knives?

The Trickster and Huntress have the same movement speed and they can bypass the survivor.

When The huntress ran out of hatchets, she can down the survivor with her axe. it may take a few more seconds to hit but it works.

Maybe the idea of The Trickster is to throw knives when the survivor is a little far away and in the open, and not when the pallet is between them.

I think he can end a chase pretty quick with his bat and movement speed. knives just makes his chases way longer.

What do you think?

If you're efficient with his knives they'll end chases much quicker, and any good survivor will be able to loop him for a long time if he doesn't use his knives as he's a 110 killer.

The reason the devs make killers 110% (or slower, in Nurses case) is usually to off-set their power being strong in a chase. Huntress, Deathslinger, Huntress, Spirit are the prime examples. Their power shines mainly in chase.

Hag is the only exception, but her power isn't really for chasing, it's for map control which makes her slower speed make more sense.

110% isn't that much slower than 115% but in loops the difference is noticable

5% seems like a small number but if you look at it in terms of catching up to survivors you are actually chasing 33% slower then a 115 killer. Even against mediocre survivors it will take more then a few seconds

Her power is for chasing. With a proper web, she'll be ending chases in around 20 seconds, there's just big setup time.

It's for map control in the sense that you're teleporting all around when your traps are triggered, but they are primarily your chase tool and they are very strong (and very annoying) when you have a survivor within your setup. She is 4.4m/s for this reason.

I think it's perfect for when a pallet is between you, they're dropping a pallet and you are dropping them.

In his current state I don't see the point in playing him, the fact that his knives decay hurts him a lot because you lose a lot of the time you invest in chases, the only thing the knives decaying prevents is preparing a down in the future with the time you invest, something a lot of killers can do. Huntress only has to throw a single projectile to take a health state and will get hits around most of the loops that the Trickster only manages to get 3-4 knives to hit in. Plague is another interesting comparison, if you spit on a survivor even for a second, that survivor will go on to infect others and they will eventually go to injured, with Trickster even if you throw 7 knives into a survivor and leave the knives decay and you get nothing for your time. Ghost face can 99% a guy and wait the entire game to down him if he wants, why can't Trickster? There is no reason that the knives should decay. Even with this change this guy isn't gonna be that strong, he has no major strengths and he's just gonna end up being outshined by every other ranged killer in the game. I really hope they come up with a good change that will really make this guy shine, but I can't think of where they would go with this power.
