We Were Robbed, no new map
I’m so disappointed this chapter didn’t get a new map. Imagine a rainy neon soaked series of alleyways with a few open venues to run through, like a dance club with flashing lights and a stage, an arcade with a bunch of blinking machines, etc. Ugh. I've wanted an urban map for ages. I hope they can come back and give us one in the future .
edit: I’m not mad or complaining, I just think the aesthetic of this chapter is amazing and it would have been awesome to see as a map.

We haven't gotten new maps for a while and we really should. Just because they are reworking the older maps, doesn't mean no new maps can be added and the one for this chapter would have been very interesting.

I know, I wish they could have pushed the updates off at least for this chapter. The lobby for this chapter is amazing and makes me wish for what could have been with a new map

Robbed of what? It's free, it's not part of the DLC it never is, it's just a free thing that happens sometimes.
we usually get one, but I mean people had JUST gotten over getting mad at BHVR for not testing their maps enough before releasing them, and putting them out before they are fully ready....now they are making sure they are fully ready and you wanna chew them out for making sure it's good first?

I mean, yes they can add new maps....by stopping the work on the reworks. Like they can't do two things at the exact same time, it's one or the other, unless you find a way to warp space time for them.

bhvr has said that they arent making any new maps until they rework all the new ones. also the maps are free...

I am glad there is no new map.
I would rather them focus on the maps we already have, rather than introduce an entirely new, broken map.

Why exactly can't they do both at once? A better, more driven company surely could. This was a big missed opportunity, the lobby looks cool af. Also, new maps arent free. New maps are generally part of new content. Not always, but yeah, it's feeling quite a bit stingy. Hell, they couldn't even rework coldwind this chapter. The reworks are good, but it will be a year without a new map when the anniversary chapter drops. That's a long time dude.

I pretty much work 24/7/365, it sucks. I'm not entitled, the product we are being delivered is substandard. Because of the company providing it. Demand better white knight.

Congratulations, you are the world's first sentient robot. Unfortunately the rest of the world is populated by human beings. So you'll have to forgive their weak, meager flesh bodies and need for sustenance and rest.
I only converse with actual people though, so I'll have to leave you at that.

It was a simple opinion about a map, no need to bring this stuff into it.

It's only substandard if your standards are very high, perhaps unrealistically so. Compare where DBD started to where it is now. You can feel however you'd like about it, but someone else feeling differently doesn't mean they should be dismissed as a white knight.
New maps are free because everyone gets access to them regardless of whether or not they own the DLC. Hell, even this DLC is free if you save your shards. There are certainly overpriced cosmetics so I don't mean to imply the devs are just working out of the goodness of their hearts, but they do release an impressive amount of content for free. It seems a bit excessive to get mad at them for not releasing new free content fast enough. I would rather the devs have a healthy work/life balance than have them work their butts off to put out free content even faster for an ungrateful player base.

I for one would far rather that the map team work on fixing the existing issues with the maps (fatshaming sections, the Game's insane pallets etc) and the rework than cranking out something new.

It sucks because the game was just redone and now it’s still broken. If they are going to take the time and have us miss out on cool opportunities for maps, I wish they would be a little more balanced lol

I prefer that very much as well. I mean people literally just got after them not long ago and told them they should hold onto things longer until they are fully ready, they are literally doing that now and people are chastising them for it. Damned if they do, damned if they don't I guess.

It's a half baked chapter with no new map. Last 2 maps we got are hated (midwich/saloon)

We've made perfectly clear in past streams that map wise we're concentrating on the map/graphical reworks so there won't be new maps at the moment. But we're not dismissing the idea of introducing a new map for this Chapter in the future either - it won't be at the time of the Chapter release of course, but it may come in the future.

Yes that’s all I’m asking for! I’m perfectly fine with map reworks, but I feel like the aesthetic of this chapter is too good and should be revisited in a future map!!

Also you know what contradicts what you're saying? The past. They never rework just one map they do it by realm. Actually just common sense would dictate they are already working on the anniversary chapter map. Do people like you imagine BHVR as 3 guys and one computer desperately trying to appease their greedy fans?

I like how I make one decent point about the map, and instead of any actual argument, not one. I am called a "White Knight" and a "Stan" because I am not actively just trashing on a game company.

I have plenty of problems with BHVR and the game; this just isn't one of them.
