M&K on console bannable?
Wanted to know if using a xim4 adapter so I can play m&k on xbox would get me banned? I don't see why it would since cross play is enabled but maybe it would trigger the anti cheat or something.
Edit: would love to just play on pc but cross progression hasn't been enabled yet and I'm not losing my hundreds of hours worth of work.

Ehhh I don't think it's bankable at all but if you have crossplay disabled it might be a bit of a ######### move.
I really don't think BHVR care about console at all, half the maps are so dark everyone is a blendette so you may as well use m&k.
As long as cross play is enabled it's not a problem at all in my opinion.

you cant play on console with mnk as far as i know,im pretty sure the mouse input doesnt work but the keyboard does, its weird but good

xim 4 lol! i had a xim 3 and know how op that crap is in cod. i actually got bored and stopped using it for a challenge.
I wish they would ban anyone using them after experiencing it.

I'd assume it works as tools like that simply "translate" M+KB input into something the console sees as controller input.
I can see why it can be controversial in FPS games as the way it works lets people use M+KB while maintaining console aim assist (thanks to how it's technically "controller" input), and they often have input-based crossplay groupings as opposed to just platforms, but I have absolutely no idea for DBD.

Afaik sony / microsoft don't ban for it because they can't tell it is being used. When configured correctly it is basically using a mouse against stick users and gets boring.
DBD is crosplay so this would make no difference and wouldn't be banned.
IMO after using one it is on par with hacks for fps games.

I can't think of any logical* reason why it wouldn't be allowed. 3rd party software to "get an advantage" isn't allowed, but in dbd with crossplay on it's not giving yourself any advantage than other killers in your matchmaking pool don't have by default.
*logic and dbd don't always go hand in hand, however

Why should M&K with a tool be bannable? Console players have a big disadvantage with crossplay vs. PC players with potential stretched res, brighten screens and better fps. And even if you somehow managed to use M&K on console, it doesn't make your framerate better anyway.

Just saying this, apparently hacking isn't banable just ran into the same hacker that I played like 2 months ago, same name same account.
I doubt they will care if you use a M&K adapter, in fact I'm surprised they haven't done a M&K support in console dbd.
