Is it just me or am I tired of Original female survivors
The past year I've tended to use more male character than female and that's when I noticed the lack of Male originals recently like I know that's there is a lot of them but they are all outdated In my opinion or they get no love with cosmetics. the fact that before Felix the last original male survivor was Jeff Johansen (2 years ago) is kind of sad like from that time we got Jane, Yui, Zarina, Elodie, and, Yun-Jin Lee for female survivors
(note I don't hate original female survivors its just I'm kind of tired of just Being female after female)

I'm tired of original male killers. Of the last 11 killers, only one has been purely female (Legion and twins are split) -- Plague. The female killers tend to be the better killers, too.

Well, I don't think they're necessarily considering on their gender, just exploring different archetypes. The brilliant architect stereotype (Felix) is usually male, but the explorative and brave reporter seeking social justice (Zarina) is usually female. The rags to riches swanky music producer stereotype (Yun-Jin) is also usually female, as is the punchy occult treasure hunter (Elodie).
After all, imagine what would happen if they made a male Feng. Instead of a gamer girl we would have an incel.
In all seriousness, though, it's probably just chance. There are plenty of more stereotypes to exhaust, such as the obsessed scientist (male or female) or the rough biker gang member (usually male). Hell, we might even see Thelma and Louise type characters soon.

Talking about the Originals and Only originals its 10/7 10 females 7 males with is (Including Lisa and Cybil would be 15) 13/12 so its been even since Elodie came into the game but they still release more
its not about making it even its that females are more popular than males so they put their time into them more why do you think Cheryl is here and not James even though Pyramid Head was in James Version of Silent Hill so she has never seen him before

This is a bit different- not saying women aren't as good as men when killing (equality for killers!) but for every 5-10 male killers theres only 1 female killer. Just look at serial killers- I can name a dozen male ones easily, but only a couple of female killers.

I still count the twins as female. Charlotte is female. The little ba... The brother might as well be a cancer cell being regrown over and over again and controlled by Charlotte. It would be like saying plague isn't purely female cuz of the infection she uses counts as separate beings.
Also, there are more threads about the lack of female killers than whatever this is about. Overall, I think it's pointless unless you care about the lore.

They could at least offer a variety in ages. Not have all of them be in their 20s, early 30s.

Yeah, that would be fun. Bill and Ace need some love too.
If you've played Uncharted 3, someone like Katherine Marlowe would be perfect. She's old but she's still got spunk and could probably run around decently. Interesting backstory too.

I think it would be cool to have aged versions to all the characters would be cool in the Tome trailer showed an elder Yui so why not do something with that

Yeah I totally agree with you, there tends to be way more female characters and I don't think of it too much but I do wish they would make more male characters. It's probably because female cosmetics sell a lot, just today they released a rockabilly collection of all females, and there's also more female survivors when I play in my experience. Out of topic but I wish they did 80s cosmetics, I believe they did 80s skins in 2017 but they are outdated asf.

That's Cheryl Mason … From Silent Hill not original at all I have her because I personally enjoy Silent hill (even though James had encounters with Pyramid head not Cheryl so James would make the most sense but it doesn't matter now)
I was never talking about licensed If another publisher make a female a final person and they get put in the game that's great but that's not what I'm talking about its BHVR Original Characters Nea Yui Felix David people you don't see in movies or shows or video games

Me too Honestly they had the 80s Suitcase Pack which was just recolors and they had a "90" collection when the legion came out it would be interesting to see them do an 80s one

I wouldn't be tired if they would just redo the Outdated Characters Faces and Cosmetics already like they said they where gonna do a year ago
Like if you look at the new killer he is better looking than most survivors like if the killer looks better than the survivor that's kind of sad

Zariinia is in her 40s but that's it. And I guess Jane is in her mid 30s. But they know young sexy women sell to both the duebro crowd and the Twitter stan crowd. Whereas older woman would piss off both groups.
I'll be shocked if we ever get a clearly older woman survivor within the next year.

Is It confirmed Zarina is in her 40s? She looks way too young to be. She looks more like late 20s, early 30s or so.

also it gives me something to do I'm almost there to get P3 on everyone I play Jake, David, Kate, Nancy, Steve, Cheryl, and Felix. after I have no motive to play other than to gain more bp for the next character but there is nothing entertaining a selfish Korean Producer with Selfish mediocre perks and a questionable dressing style. yea I would have rather had the K pop star as a survivor than her. at least the selfish perks would have made sense saying that he's a Pop star where being self centered is common

I was really disappointed that we got another sausage killer for the new chapter. It's been well over a year since a complete female killer.

As I have said in the other thread, I would love a char like Carol from TWD, Laurie from the new Halloween movies or Wickerbottom from Dont Starve (Together) - but that’s only the age. I feel like the general direction they are going for with their characters tend to get boring..
All new characters seem to be pretty tough, ambitious and successful. That’s why I liked the older chars lorewise more even if those are shorter: just looking at Dwight, Meg, Claudette and Jake compared to Felix, Elodie and Yun-Jin (I like the darker side of Yun-Jin though)

Honestly if we can swap the killer and survivor have Yun-Jin lee as the killer and have Ji-Woon Hak as a Survivor I would like this chapter

I think you nailed it. Female survivors most likely contribute to more cosmetic sales. Female gamers love to play female characters because they typically relate to them more, and male players love to play female characters because they find them attractive. This tends to be true for most games where your character choice doesn't affect your ability to play the game.

I'm down to more male survivors IF they are not that tall. I only play female survivors because they are usually shorter and that helps because it doesn't occupy the entire middle of my 768p screen.

If you take in consideration all survivors, with Elodie they reached a 1:1 ratio. Considering the next survivor is female it's safe to assume in the next months we will see a new male survivor.

The next chapter is most likely going to be a licensed one for the 5th Anniversary so that honestly matters what IP they got but hopefully the next original chapter is

it would honestly make the most sense even story wise … Music Producers Usually Make the music or at least has a heavy hand in it more than the singer unless if its a Singer and Songwriter but K-pop Bands usually aren't that
