Modding and custom servers are now a thing? Will BHVR finally listen to their community?
I will not link anything but it is possible to run a custom server with any cosmetics you want, unlocked perks, bloodpoints, old animations, UI, ect. So will BHVR start listening to community feedback about changes they make to the live game or will they force players to go elsewhere to get their DBD fix? Personally, the UI/Animation fiasco parallels very highly with Oldschool Runescape and WOW Classic, players will leave because they game they enjoyed has changed too much from it's original form and this honestly feels like the turning point for DBD in that regard. Do you think BHVR will try to mitigate the damage they have done and revert some changes, lower the bloodpoint grind like the community has been asking for years or will they further tread the path towards self-destruction and egotism while players abandon the live game for a more classic experience? It really is only a matter of time before major streamers are putting "Dead By Daylight Classic" in their stream titles and what then? Will BHVR ban footage, streamers, ect for streaming a modded or "illegal" version of the game that they can't monetize only further alienating themselves from the community? There needs to be some major positive changes going forward with DBD before it's too late.

Judging by how literally everybody wants future changes like nerfs, buffs, new perks, new killers, etc. I highly doubt that many people will want to go back to a "classic" dbd. Why would anybody want to go back to old DS or old ruin?

Are you referring to the 3.0.0 dev build that you can subsequently edit? If so that's been a thing for a while

I prefered old DS and Ruin.

Playing on a custom server will only increase the chance of encountering hackers and cheaters who would be able to get away with their nonsense since there'd be no actual authority to deal with them.
