Why do players just give up against killers that actually play a certain killer incredibly well?
I've been noticing lately a lot of people just give up when I play clown. I'm not exactly godtier on clown yet, but I'd say I'm getting pretty close to like absolutely mastering him. I know clown can be a painful killer to go against, but I noticed also when playing survivor people love bullying killers that aren't exactly the best at a certain killer yet, but they just give up against a player that is exceptionally well with a killer. Is it, because they want easy rounds? What is it exactly that causes this?

I've found that people will give up or DC if the killer is a particular annoying or frustrating one to versus such as freddy or death slinger. Or, if they have a bad team (urban evaders, self care in a cor er after every hit, bad loopers, etc)
Clown is not usually a killer many people complain about which makes me think you've had some groups who have had some bad team mate stuff happening which you don't always see as killer.

They just give up and die quickly so that they can wait in queue for a fun game. Really sucks in solo queue. I swear morale so low and tilting is so much worse now. I think some ppl built up a massive ego in this game so they give up/tilt easier, while others just cycle through matches until they find a good one.
Weird thing is some stay to yell at the killer and then tell me (cuz I ask) they normally leave to go queue up but this time they felt they should say something to the killer.

If the game is really unfun, I personally just go for the next one. I have nothing against Clown, but I've been going against Clowns that just proxy camp the hook the whole time these last 2 days, with extra hindered bottles. Is it fun? No. I don't usually bring meta perks, because I want to have fun and do my archive challenges. But when the killer is camping from 5 gens, there's no time to do anything. So I either rush the gens and coordinate really hard to counter pressure the killer or there is no chance of anyone surviving, especially when I see that my fellow teammates are not doing objectives effectively in kindred. And that because I usually don't have anything to help me with chases and I'm not even experienced, so I have to compensate for it (or at least I feel like I should..., maybe I shouldn't?).
Do I wanna go through that? Not really. So whatever. I don't blame any killer for trying his A-game nor think they shouldn't, because I know many survivor groups also do that, and it's fair. But I personally don't have any fun in that. I'm not a very experienced survivor and regular chases is not what I think is fun (using tricks during chase is cool, though). So when I am matched against a killer that is just too experienced, usually is not fun. Many times in solo I was the tunneled "weak link" of the team, because of pure matchmaking putting me (as rank 9) against a red rank killer that was desperate for a kill.
The same thing as killer: I'm not that experienced and when I'm faced with experienced survivor, it's also not fun.
In the end, I think it's more a question of playstyle and matchmaking. I have fun with less experienced killers, even if I'm the first to die. The same the other way around.
That doesn't mean I don't learn things from killers and survivors both when I face skilled ones and slowly improve my experience. But I really don't wanna be forced to learn by being stomped by the other part. I don't even know if there's a solution to that.

Iri hatchet Huntress, forever Freddy, stridor Spirit etc I can understand people losing the will to play the match out.

if I'm solo, my teammates are truly aggravating (there's a difference between being bad and sabotaging you for their own safety), and the killer is making the match experience dreadful, I have a strong desire to end it early.

Don't forget instantly broken by Plague. Idk what they call her when she runs those add-ons, lol.

i give up against huntress because most of them seem to use a vpn.

Because they can't bully a good killer

The amount of sheer quitting I've had as Plague is just funny. Survivors start, get cocky, try to perform damage control, then give up when they realise I'm not your average pushover just in it for a daily.
Something about 3 people suddenly being on the ground in 20 seconds probably helps. Spoiler alert, you won't loop a good Plague in her power.

100ms ping shouldn't be possible.
Every time i get someone over 100 their profile suggests they are from another country.

Got better things to do with their time than to play vs some sack of sweaty crutch meat?

If I had that attitude of giving up like that, there would be many matches I wouldn't have done well in because I didn't see it through to the end. I've escaped a few trials where I was hooked twice early in the game.

Shouldn't be any excuses, if you give up you're trash at the game. Like sorry but my opinion wont change, you're being selfish and f ing other people over because you dong like certain killers or perks, like grow up it's part of the game... you cant get better unless you actually try simple as.

Curious, Do you feel the same way about lobby dodging killers?

I can kinda understand when you go against broken things like iri hatchet or when hope of surviving is lost like if Myers gets infinite tier 3 at 3 gens left cause others were feeding him.
Problem is that most players idea of the game is so flawed that they concider everything that's even remotely challenging broken.
That's the killers biggest strenght right now. The pretty much non existent morale of survivors

I assume you mean lobby dodge keys? As let's be real that's the only time they really do and that's because of the stupid balance of survivors negating easily 30% of their objective but no killers hardly lobby dodge and there isn't a need. Once again that's before a match starts not mid game affecting everyone else. I dont give up, people who complain about freddy, spirit, slinger etc. Just arent good before all the matchmaking got made easier we had buffed nurses and spirits using old ruin and pop etc. Games shouldn't just be given to bad survivors they need to learn different play styles or just quit the game, dont waste everyone else's time and resources because you cba with a certain killer. BTW freddy isn't strong and forever freddy got nerfed ages ago so other people can stop moaning

You should plah the game for the game, never give up just try your best and have fun. You can always get better against the killers you dont like but there is no reason to quit or give up especially at the start. You're just being selfish at that point and honestly a cry baby, everyone can have a bad chases etc. But it's a team game and theres 4 other people including the killer. Remember if you allow one reason others will follow. So far in this post there has been people saying they quit against spirit, freddy, slinger, plague, clown. And that's just in this post atm but I know people quit against good huntress, nurse, bubba, gf etc. That's nearly every killer people quit against... bit silly tbh when survivor is very easy. Team effort not a solo, cant run every killer forever, the killer is a player too.

nothing fun or balanced about 4 man discord squads.
Can't play stealth killers.
Can't play trap killers.
Can't hit and run because they heal so fast
Can't use totems because if one spots it, they all know where it is.
Synergised perks
body blocking
many killer perks and addons rendered useless.

It depends. For some people yeah they just want easy games.
I like a challenge as survivor but it all depends on who I get matched with. If it’s a sweaty tryhard (and they all have ruin) sometimes I’ve given up just because of the potatoes I’m with. Its not uncommon for situations where some of the other survivors are going down in seconds and you can see throughout the game that they aren’t on gens. I’ve seen some survivors pottering around the map for minutes before they touch a generator. When the killer has like 4 hooks and the Bill (its always a Bill) is yet to touch their first gen or the Claudette has been in the locker all the time then you just feel like theres no point because theres no hope of any generators being done soon. Sometimes you feel like having a good chase is in vain because people didnt take advantage of that time.
Last time this happened I was against a Billy and I started a gen, had a little chase, started a new gen in a hard location while my friend gets chased, pause the gen to unhook my friend, go back and finish the gen and I’m the first person to complete a generator. Well thats strange because about 30 seconds later another survivor finishes a gen right at the edge of the map and thats where I spawned in with them and Billy had never been down there so why it took them so long to do a generator I have no idea. Then I see another survivor come walking around the side of the map and it was obvious in all this tome they hadnt done anything since the killer had never been in their location and there was no gens where they came from. I gave up on hook (i got bodyblocked to boot) and I spectated curious to see what they were doing and yeah one survivor was actually just crouch walking around the edge of the map
If other survivors arent willing to pull their weight I’d rather move on.
