Ez unnecessary dc penalty.
It's quite simple nothing more should be said outside of,
If you get kicked out of a game because the game "Claims" you lost connection you should get compensation and not rewarded with a dc penalty for the games doing.

Im pretty sure rocket league can tell if you lost connection or not.

They cannot but as long as your match is still going you can rejoin it and play out the end and not get a penalty. That idea wouldnt be terrible in dbd but i have a feeling it would be abusable. Imagine killer shows up at gen survivor dcs then respawns and finishes gen when killer is gone. Maybe allow a rejoin as a spectator not an active survivor to avoid penalty and bp loss.

The game booting you out when no internet issues are happening is the current problem.
So dont assume that im talking about this issue for people you cant have good internet.

Have it to where a bot shows up if they dc just like the mobile version of this game and as long as the match is going you can rejoin in place of the bot

I've been playing this game for years and that's not happened to me once. But honestly if you don't have good internet then you should look at trying to get something better because for all the game knows you could have pulled your cable to leave the match, so if they don't give a penalty everyone would just do that instead of dcing and get away with it.

It's only possible in games where you can reconnect, because once you reconnect it knows you obviously didn't mean to leave.
DBD unfortunately does not have that option; and naturally you want to say "well just add that then" but the gameplay really would be problematic with that, and also if your connection dropped say when you were on a hook struggle or something else you would be dead before you could re-join.
However the devs did mention before about maybe adding a "Husk" mechanic for when people disconnect, and then possibly seeing what they could do going forward with that but.......bhvr is well, bhvr so nothing happened, they just pretended they never said any of that, and that was the end of it.
