My controller won’t work right. What is going on here?

I have been playing DBD now for almost a year and this is the first time I’ve ever seen this happen. I have an Xbox One. When I get struck by the killer and try to take off running by moving the joystick, my character will only run a few steps and then it’s like they are running into a wall and cannot move anymore.

What is going on here? Is anyone else having this issue?

    It kinda sounds like lag/connection issues.

    I’ve been having similar problems, a lot more these past couple weeks, but I’ve just been blaming my prehistoric router. Maybe this is an issue with dbd servers instead though. Other online things work well for me....

    That can happen When your run button starts to go out or also when your left joystick starts to go out , try changing controllers and see if it makes a difference

    It myn't be your controller. This happened to me where I would run but wouldn't go as fast as normal and would even start slowing mid chase. Myn't just be time to get a new one, I haven't had that problem since I did.
