Remove or fix the struggle mechanic

The struggle mechanic is so buggy that it needs to be either fixed or removed. I have had multiple games where i am on the struggle phase and have gotten killed on hook while mashing the button to struggle when I’m no where close to the point I would be sacrificed. Something needs to be done about this mechanic

    But if they did that, how would trash teammates kill themselves on hook when thy get caught once by a Spirit?

    Lag spikes can cause you to die while struggling. Devs are looking at alternatives.

    Friends of mine regularly die, even as I can hear the rhythm of the spacebar through their mic. It's happened to me plenty of times as well, but they have no intention of changing it.

    I've been killed thanks to fps drops on console. It's awesome when you have plenty of struggle time left, someone is about to save you but last gen gets completed triggering an fps drop and you die instead. Skill checks wouldn't help because fps drop would screw those up as well. They just need to change it to "press x to let go."
