I think mmr is being tested out if you were demolishing your past games it probably rated you high and you got them.

If it's not on then what can i say the matchmaking in this game has always been completely trash.

It's good practice in my eyes. If you continue to play sooner or later you're gonna face up against pretty good teams more often than not.

Your first mistake was thinking that DBD matchmaking is anything more than a bad joke.

Your second mistake was having cross-play turned on.

I'm a rank 13-12 Killer Main, I get hit with All Red lobbies very often and often get no hooks when that happens. Every time I hit that "Ready" button I just assume that I'll be going against an all Red SWF Sweat Squad and be pleasantly surprised when I have an actual enjoyable game instead. One where I stand a chance of winning.

Lately I've been sort of see-sawing between really low rank lobbies and really high rank ones, my guess is MMR is trying to find where to put me but can't make up it's mind. My last three games of the night were, in order (18,10,8,20), (4,7,2,17), (8, 9, 16, 14). I don't remember the exact numbers for the game before the first one I listed but one was a Rank 1 and another Red Rank with the other two being high end Purples close to Reds, like 6 or 5. The 17 in the second game was in a SWF with the 4 and was a smurf account because his previous account got hacked (not sure if I actually believe that but whatever) and in first game listed everyone but the 8 was a SWF, last game listed was all solos.

I get that it is frustrating. And I can't say there is much hope of it getting better. But the fact of the matter is if you want to play this game you have to put up with ######### matchmaking, on both sides.

Okay so what? You can go up against good teams at the green ranks too. Problem is everyone just wants super easy games and easy wins and they don't want to actually learn to get better at the game and constantly make up excuses every single time they lose. Every game has some form of a learning curve and considering there's no casual mode and the way the current rank system works you're going to eventually hit at the very least purple ranks just by playing the game. Which means whether you like it or not you're going to eventually go against people who are playing in a competitive way. What's actually wrong is too many people want to play on and endorse playing on baby mode and throw a tantrum when the other side good. I never see people complaining when they go against a team or killer they demolish saying it's unfair then, it's only when people go up against a challenge when they complain. You bring up survival of the game as if this game isn't continuously becoming more popular. Honestly you don't know what you're talking about and with that being said feel free to respond if you want I'm not even gonna bother reading it considering like I just said you don't know what you're talking about.

At least you know what it is like to play against red ranks.

Matchmaking is not working as intended and that for a very long time now.

part of the problem seems to be very few killer players, which leads to high waiting times on survivor side and after some lobby time the not correctly working matchmaking is completely ignored.

Apex legends is a great example. Not only are ranked lobbies a bit messy in terms or matchmaking Normal lobbies have me a bronze constantly going against preds (the highest rank)
