why do i get camped for flashlight saving
i was playing with a friend today and 2 games in a row the killer facecamped me because i flashlight saved him once. just once. i used to be a killer main so i get flashlights can be a nuisance but i literally didn't do anything that would be classed as 'toxic'. when i got unhooked in one game i got straight tunneled (i never use this term, but it did feel like it as killer completely ignored everyone else) even after ds still chases me. +hitting me on the hook and nodding. i died on my 1st hook in the other game. literally for flashlight saving. ? why?

What rank was the killer? Some killers take flashlight saves extremely harshly lol, usually they aren't red ranks

People like to try and find a reason to play in a scummy way, it's annoying but it's something that this community has seemed to have perfected.

Some people get salty like that I guess. I will admit it is annoying when someone gets a flashlight save on me, but going to the extent of camping someone for doing something that's completely fine? That's a bit much.
Other than saltiness, I can't think of anything else. Maybe they were having a rough day and decided to throw it out on you or something.

It's not even salt. I respect a good flashlight save.
Putting the saver on the hook though ensures that future saves are riskier though. So I'll usually try to get em just so I can pick up teammates with no risk.

Unfortunately, toxicity is subjective on the receiving end in general.
A few months ago had a Trapper drop a dying Claudette bc I saboed the hook. He then proceeded to follow me around the whole coal tower, down me by the shack, hook me, set all of his traps around me, and face camp for the whole 2 minutes. At the time I was distressed, but today I take face camp as a compliment.

You shouldn't look that much into it. You can get camped for doing absolutely nothing anyway.
You aren't being toxic that is for sure. You are not bm'ing.

Maybe they just wanted to be toxic regardless. Maybe they just had a match against a squad who were flashlight saving and clicking at them so assumed you were toxic because of the previous match. Maybe they've just had a run of bad matches and are fed up and just mad at the game and you just gave them an excuse to take out their frustrations. Who knows.

Because some chases take a LOT of work. It’s very demoralising having gens pop all around you, only to feel cheated out of a well deserved hook.

I guess, I bring lightborn all the time for the stupid flashlight saves, I mean I don't tunnel them...but someone definitely would if they really don't like it

i know it sounds crazy.
but sometimes, i can tell that a survivor is carrying everyone else, and if i have a chance to get and kill them, i'll take it.
and most of the time, if i've correctly identified that it's a SWF that's got a hard carry, the whole group unravels.
i can spend 4 gens to kill one guy, but then the entire rest of their team can't get that last gen and leave for some reason. and it's beautiful stuff.

If your sabo or flash light i feel like your playing sweaty and ill treat you accordingly . It also makes sense to get rid of someone who is going to ruin your hook after a chase. You sound like the loopers who are asking why they are face camped or tunneled on the hook. If your the biggest threat why would the killer let you go?

its not being a #########, but just like body blocking, its annoying as ######### and so the killer will make you suffer. You take that chance when you flashlight save. If you dont like the odds, dont flashlight save

bodyblocking is a strat that can save teammates from hooks or taking a hit near the exit to save them. it's annoying to go against but to throw a game because somebody got a lucky flash on you or something. kinda immature

ye no crap its immature, but he payed for this game and honestly he can do whatever he wants. And camping is strategic aswell. I can bet it was also at the end of the game when you pretty much have to camp so... I dont promote camping, but if the killer feels like you deserved it or theres no other options, that fine.

Doesn't justify being annoying to anyone else. The same logic can be applied to survivors who were tunneled.
"You tunneled me so therefore I'm going to flashlight click and teabag at you any chance I get" they were annoyed so therefore it was justified right?

actually yes it is. Often when I get camped and tunneled and I end up escaping. At the exit gate its perfectly fine to click all you want. Its called karma

You were being toxic with your flashlight. We all know using mechanics in the game are toxic. Even pressing WASD is toxic! Holding M1 on gens is toxic, unhooking your teammates is toxic, taking hits for your teammates is toxic, crouching is toxic, running is toxic (Too fast for the killer to keep up), looping is toxic, vaulting is toxic, opening the exit gate is toxic, using items is toxic, using any perk is toxic (including No Mither, Lucky Break, and This Is Not Happening), etc. etc. etc...
All of these only apply if you are playing survivor. We all know killers are NEVER toxic, and they have the right to facecamp and nod at you for playing the game. You know what, ######### it. Playing survivor is toxic. We should be ashamed of ourselves. All of us. Except people who exclusively play killer in DBD.

If your spending your time teabagging and flashlight clicking while being tunneled it would be more a question of competence than whether its annoying. Thats like speed dating hooks

So did you equip the flashlights in lobby or get them in a chest or off someone else. And did the killer try looking into a wall or something? And who was the killer?
