A really interesting coincidence I noticed.

So, think about the Huntress.

She is a Russian woman named Anna, known for throwing hatchets with the precision of a trained sniper. She murders every human she finds, including a squad of German soldiers, except for little girls, whom she has a very soft spot for and attempts to lure them to her home with her rabbit mask.

Oh, also everyone wants to bone her.

Now, let's take the action/survival horror game Metro: Last Light—particularly, a certain character.

A Russian sniper named Anna.

At the beginning of the game, she is very cold and ruthless, much like the Huntress. At first, she taunts the player character by referring to him as a rabbit—the animal that Anna the Huntress wears as a mask. The main character and her end up getting separated by German soldiers that Anna sneaks/battles her way through like how the Huntress stalked and killed the German squad in her forest.

And you know how everyone wants to bone the Huntress? Well, in M:LL, you actually end up boning Anna and impregnating her, after which she becomes a much less prickly character, similar to how the Huntress becomes motherly towards little girls.

And to top it all off, the lullaby that the Huntress sings, "Bayushki Bayu", shows up in Metro: Last Light.

This was all just a really interesting coincidence I wanted to point out. Some food for thought. An interesting factoid. Have a nice day.

Oh also there's Ana from Overwatch who is a deadly sniper mercenary that is very devoted towards her daughter Pharah. Neat.

Of course Bayushki Bayu shows up in other games. The lullaby is comparable to Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star regarding popularity and how common it is.

"Anna" is a very stereotypical "russian woman" name.

It's just a coincidence, nothing more. If Anna was more Western she'd merely be John Smith singing "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star".
