Do I lose progress if I change my gamertag on xbox?
I don't mean creating a new one but just I would like to change my current and set a new gamertag on xbox. Most games do not get affected by it but as dbd is just special and tricky, I would expect to run into any issue (and I didn't find any info online about it).

Your gamertag is essentially your display name for games. Steam for example has display names and profile names. Profile names you can change but in Steam's system you are tied to your progress regardless of what your name is. This is the same for every system. Xbox ties your progress in their backend. Ergo you won't lose progress by changing your gamertag.

Probably not. I did it on ps4 and didn't lose anything.

You should tag a moderator so they can ask the developers and get a confirmation, logic and reason say you shouldnt have any problem at all but as you said this game has certain "irks" that can be... surprising to say the least, its better if someone from BHVR answers this directly.

To tag someone use @ and write the name of said person, it will send them a message saying someone called them on a thread, pretty much like it appears with my name on your post.
