Ok complainers
I'm just scrolling up and down the forums and I'm seeing posts complaining about Deadhard and I'm sitting here like you players have to be new to this game to be complaining about deadhard 😂.
First off deadhard isn't even that great of a perk because dedicated servers destroyed what it use to be. I can't tell you how many times I've been exhausted hit on the ground. Yes it'll get you out of a sticky situation when it works but deadhard is not hard at all to bait out.
Walk up close behind a injured survivor to force deadhard out then swing. If they are constantly looking behind them while running that means they have deadhard. If you get close up on them and they start doing little jukes or try to spin around you that means they don't have deadhard.
It's that easy.

When a Killer gets close to you and there is a pallet near, look towards the pallet and then press the E key on your keyboard.
It's that easy.

If you use dead hard to dodge you're not using it correctly. If they use it to dodge they're not using it correctly.
15 -
Which makes no sense since all the other exhaustion perks give you more distance than Dead Hard.
2 -
but you choose when to use it for distance, unlike all other exhaustion perks with the exception of a 99'ed sprint burst, which even then can be cheesed out.
3 -
Not for nothing, but the part of Dead Hard you are trying to refute is not the part of Dead Hard that people are complaining about.
3 -
Any person who says things like "just bait it out" or "it doesn't work beacuse of laentcy" is just ignorant and doesn't understand what the problem is.
DH for distance is the problem and none DH counter plays except exhaustion addons that are unavailable to most killers are applicable to it.

Dh is used when you need the distance, so essentially on command.
Lithe, etc have requirements to them that make them good in certain situations. Dead hard can literally be used at every loop that isn't a super unsafe pallet.

'First off deadhard isn't even that great of a perk...' Yeah. . . no. It's literally the best exhaustion perk in game. Sure, it can be finicky due to server issues, but that doesn't detract from it's number one spot.

You have to be new if you are exhausted on the ground.

DS is getting reworked and killer mains are already going after DH,UB and BT. How come they don't complain about sprint burst which I kind of think is better than DH. I mean y'all are faster, we need these perks to help us.

Because unlike DH, SB takes knowledge and just a tad bit of skill to use. It is a perk that doesn't make me feel cheated out of a down and has fantastic utility without being overpowered (not saying DH is OP). Not a killer main btw, if that means anything.

Even though I heavily dislike SB and wouldn't mind seeing it getting little fix (aka "slow speed increase" so that survivor gets 150% slow and gets same distance, just in bigger time) I can't argue that it has heavy disadvantages like having to walk most of the trial to have it for the chase and inability to really control it (even 99ing it isn't really effective since performing any animation would make you lose it).
DH has no such disadvantages. Just press the button when you see you aren't making it to the window/pallet without being hit and get free win. No need to worry about timing it, no skill needed.

I'll be completely honest, most of the time I use DH it really is just to gain distance so I'm sure that's not the proper way to do it. And as for SB yeah I don't like walking in the match and I have to wait for the killer to get close to me just so I can get that head start.

Dead Hard has requirements to use it. You have to be injured, so it's totally useless against insta-downs. And it gives you 1 1/2 seconds instead of 3 seconds.
0 -
That's not really a requirement, because most instadowns in 95% of situations can be avoided.
Once again, doesn't really matter about the duration, that 1 and a half seconds of distance is more than enough to cover up a mistake and extend a loop by another 30 seconds.

Yeach, but the same people have no problem with bloodlust, so there is a flaw in that logic.
4 -
99% of good survivors seem to run this perk but ok. It's everyone else who is new to the game and doesn't understand it. Not you, oh no you're the expert. Please tell us what perks are stronger?
2 -
"If they are constantly looking behind them while running that means they have deadhard."
I look behind me often while being chased and I don't use Dead Hard.
1 -
exactly
1 -
How are they the same? bloodlust isnt on demand.
Most killers are against bloodlust 2 and 3 actually. Its just that some infinites still exist thats the problem the game has with removing bloodlust. BL1 doesnt do much but just helps with hold W maps, because holding W takes no skill and shouldn't be as strong as it is.

Still complaining about a perk... Lets just nerf the darn thing already because people are mad because it helps survivors make it to a pallet.
This is just a never-ending story of complaining from this community that just doesn't want to learn to adapt to anything.
Omg they deadharded to a pallet and dropped it whatever shall I do I mean I just break it and leave them to go check and apply pressure to gens. Oh my bad I forgot you guys are gonna bring up every possible situation that deadhard hurts you because it could be endgame, or some survivor working on a gen but you wanted to dedicate your self to a chase because they're dead on hook or maybe because they teabagged you and now you wanna throw the game and let your ego take over, etc.
I just call all that stuff excuses. I played this game for 3yrs and I'm just sick and tired of people complaining like the devs will actually listen. Just tired of people saying nerf this nerf that, yes some stuff deserves to be nerfed but jesus you guys want this game to be so god damn dull. Ok I'll chase this player... Ez down and hook NEXT! Oh my god...... So fun 😃.
Might as well ask the devs to put in AI bots if you want that type of gameplay.

Ranged killers beg to differ.

That is the proper way to use dead hard. It wasn't the intended way by the devs but it is the best way to use the perk.
And if you're waiting and walking with sprint burst while the killer is coming towards you you're not using the perk correctly, and God bless you and every single survivor who wastes so much distance like this because it makes me hate sprint burst less.

1) Dead Hard for Distance.
2) Any killer that uses their power for attacks.
1 -
They both give you a boost of speed, and DH is a direct counter to a bloodlusting killer. When used to gain distance.
I didn't say they were the same. Just that so many people have a big problem with one, and yet are completely fine with bloodlusting.
I personally think everyone needs to guit begging for God damn nerfs and play the game.
4 -
As you probably now realize the forums are full of killer mains. As a killer and survivor DH is not too OP. It's a very good perk but it's not overpowered. I would compare it to something like Corrupt Intervention for killers. A very solid perk but has it's limits.

I've run DH only to get the Adept achievement for David. It's an awful perk. Quite literally "Exhausted on the ground simulator" and nothing more. So easily baitable too.
2 -
not that good, really. so gaining distance or evading a hit because you run in the wrong direction isn't good. you need to hit a key to gain more distance.

Well guess what. I'm assuming your new to this game. Take that.
