Timer Ban Fix Idea.

I get why the leaver timer was put into place. I get it, someone leaving ruins the game for the other survivors. However I think the system needs to be changed. With problems cropping up for their end we shouldn't get punished. Patches being buggy and having connection issues shouldn't result in the player getting a timer ban.
Perhaps putting it on a vote system instead of automatic system. When playing with SWF and I DC but I'm still in discord/party. They know I didn't rage quit, yet the system can't recognize that it's on their end. They just see I'm no longer in an active game and thus throw a timer on me. When you reach a 30 minute timer because you can't connect to their cloud server, you the player shouldn't be punished for it.

a vote system would be abused by swf. I think the problem is they went draconian with the dc penalties.

or just not play with bad internet.

Why should killer be punished when he DC? He's hurting nobody but himself. Or Dev regard killers as slaves for entertaining survivor Lords and won't allow killer have fun?

Game: Did you just DC at the beginning of the game?
Player: No, my game crashed.
Teammates: Yes, they DC'd.
Game: Good enough for me.

Is there an option to play dbd on another platform apart from steam so i don't get penalties when steam takes their platform down every tuesday.

As I said it was I was not able to connect to their cloud servers, other apps were still running. It was not my internet. I was still able to do everything but connect to DBD because I couldn't reach their servers. How is that my internets fault?
