- you forget it's even coming out until day X
- you say "cool, what is the next chapter" after seeing the killer, survivors and their abilities.
- you don't have bloodpoints capped + 8000 shards by the release of the chapter
- you are more hyped for the buffs&nerfs it brings
- there's no new map or even graphical update
- when even a fixed bug is a more interesting topic to discuss

When the vast majority of the community agrees the new killer is very weak and needs buffs to improve him, only for the developers to turn around and nerf an add-on that made his power somewhat bearable and decent, not giving anymore in the process except a double ricochet useless mechanic.

I don't know man, I'm pretty hyped for the new chapter. The killer makes me think of the Scorpion from The Devil's Carnival. Although, with the teasers, I was hoping more for a killer that utilized fire in some way, but I'm still excited. To each their own.

I’m more concerned for the map reworks honestly. Some people say its Haddonfield, others say its coldwind.
Looking at what they did for other maps we can expect the problematic coldwind main buildings to return in a big way. If Rancid abbatoir window returns and the breakable wall is too far from the window to make a difference to the loop like it is in groaning storehouse then I’m uninstalling anyway because I’ve had enough of ######### map design

You know it is not great when you are just not excited for it. I am definitely not excited about the trickster, but rather blight and wraith's changes.

Twins are strong if you don't mind playing very scummy. Trickster... I don't even know scummy playstyles that would be effective.

With new chapters, I usually look forward to the map rather than the new killer/survivor. Sadly, the last few 'chapters' have been lacking a map. It would be good to see some of the 'map-less' killers eventually get their own map.

I have 50k shards. And maxed out BP. So I guess All-Kill is a success.

I personally also feel like a lot of the tricksters animations are copy and paste.
- Gen damage = oni with blood fury
- main event end = legion
- vaulting = legion but slower
- way he holds the weapon = huntress (if im not misstaken)
- etc.
The power looks interesting, even though it is probably most of the time more efficient to just m1 than spamm a total of 8 blades into someone for 1 health state. Not to forget they lose the blades over time which makes it all even worse.
Yeah, i don't know. I feel like theres not much effort put into this one besides probably the music, lore and appearance.
Just my opinion.

I mean the fact that laceration goes down after a while is a complete game changer for me.
What's even the point of them having infinite range if there is literally NO reward hitting a shot beyond like 18m. Plus keeping laceration would be a big buff and allow better chases and better snowball, similar to ghostface.
Maybe if laceration didn't go down id be hyped, because that would be new main potential.

I usually tend to spend all bloodpoints and shards I've gathered and I cap them only in case I need to quickly start a prestige race on a new character. Although if I don't bother myself with that, it usually means to me that for one of many reasons new chapter is pretty lackluster.

Hard to get hyped for characters anymore, have to wait to see what changed from ptb and what they will be changing again after the op feedback. Don't need to spend shards on things I won't use.

His animations are all unique, VERY unique from what I can see
- Gen damage he does a swing that goes under and then over his head, Oni just has his weapon in an upwards position at all times
- Main event end is a different animation, his hands shake a lot more and are more far apart
- His vaulting seems more similar to Blights if anything

Yes they are, if you think about it a Trickster who wants YOU and ONLY YOU downed he most likely will get it, same with Old Legion.

Also because no one used the ricochet addon to actually try and ricochet they all just threw it at the survivors feet to cheese the extra laceration.

It just baffles me that they have so many inspirational material and so many possible unique powers like blind killer, killer with multiple bodies, killer that uses fire, killer that can climb on obstacles, etc etc and they come up with a killer that throw another kind of hatchets.

Simple fix 2 changes
1 base bounce
2 trick knives now make it bounce 2 times and applies 100%bonus laceration if it bounces twice and hits a surivor

The addon wasn't good for the game in the current design - However it's still disappointing they leave The Trickster as is for the most part - He's underwhelming. Yes he has a lol of potential but for the most part that's playing Trickster in an opportunist fashion.
Only thing I like about the chapter is Trickster's appearance (Yes really) and the killer perks but I don't care about visuals and I'm not buying a chapter if the killer isn't good. Good doesn't mean S tier either it just means you can accomplish stuff using your own skill instead of the survivors being trash.

I never seen it on this level, though. People are genuinely miffed. granted, might be because the chapter IS underwhelming in itself AND comes at the heels of two massively disastrous chapter releases.

i'm not someone that get's hyped for anything, but i would actually be interested in this chapter if the killer came with a studio or a stage map. it could be one of those things where only a portion of the map is inside a building, since fully indoor maps like #########-wich are usually awful. they could have done so much for it. gotten so creative, but nooo.
i actually kinda like the survivor though. but the killer just.. doesn't feel or look like a killer.. he looks like a circus performer with his colour palette. :/

I agree, new chapter looks really cool, I was also hoping for a fire based killer lol so maybe we will get one eventually, a serial arsonist or something like that, make some fire in the fog actually hot lol but I love the trickster, he looks like a ton of fun to play as and against and the map updates are gonna be great too I'm sure

I think the new killer looks cool and could be fun to play, but after playing him in the PTB, I just hope they buff him now. He's just too weak, and his only viable method of attack is to tunnel people to hook. He has basically no capability to switch targets, mindgame, etc. Lacerates fading over time creates no long term strategy with his abilities, so everything with Trickster needs to be short term and definitive, or else it's just a waste of time and resources.

That's the thing I don't get from BHVR. So, when I tested the twins on PTB, I saw early on that camping would be king for them. A day into Trickster, and I was like: Okay then, tunneling is king for this one.
Complaints ad nauseam about Killers camping and tunneling. BHVR releases a killer who shines by camping and then one right after that who needs to tunnel to get anywhere. At this point, I'm expecting the next killer to absolutely need to slug starting at 5 gens to get anywhere.

Trickster is amazing and I'm excited for his release as are a lot of people. He will likely need buffs and a map for him in the future would be amazing. I found him loads of fun to play as and against while his personality, animations, and sounds blow most of the cast out of the water.
Blight was the least exciting chapter for me, and the fact the Survivor generated more popularity than the Killer ever mustered seems to indicates I wasn't alone on Blight being a miss.
Freddy and Legion were the biggest flops though. Original Freddy was Original Freddy while Legion built up so many crazy speculations for their actual lore and game play to be so uninteresting. Now Freddy has evolved into the over loaded and highly played monster he is now while Legion still holds a strong fan base despite many finding them annoying in the game and severely flat in lore. Quentin and Jeff fell off the map though, and that's unfortunate cause Jeff is the best character out of that chapter.

I don't understand why everything has to be "good" this game isn't competitive and no one should make it that way. His power is fine if anything at all they could just make it so the knives don't come out if you're in chase/ you have to remove them manually.

Maps are free, & you pay for the killer. Why would they create something to give away for free when they already have a strong player base? Maps at the start of this game were just a way to entice new blood, now that they have it, why put in that extra effort? Like the killer, even though he is super weak, & useless, people will still buy it just to have it. Check out the movie “Field of Dreams” if you build it, they will come. Same concept here with crappy, slapped together last second killers, with no maps.

Sounds about right new killer basically does nothing interesting and survivors have not since bill have really changed the meta too much other than adam with his mind blowing one decent perk just add something non situational that is good

I've got like 38k shards. I'll buy the new killer and survivor just so I can maintain my 100% on the achievements.
But as soon as they release a license killer that requires me to spend actual money I'm probably done with this game.
It's pretty clear that BHVR's priority is selling skins, and they've given up on making the game better.
