I tend to dodge too many games
I don't know why this is but before I play one games I pretty much dodged 5 before. It's not because I only want to face baby survivors, in fact I faced many sweaty rank 1 SWF's and managed to beat them but everytime I see someone in the lobby with 1000/2000/3000 etc. hours I tend to dodge because I feel like I will get dunked on.
Nea's with flashy skins, people with 12-13 pages of comments etc. they all scare me. It's like a feeling that I'm not good enough to beat them. Maybe some of you have any tipps? and sorry for my English, it's not my native language.

I noticed a pattern: For some reason people with a lot of hours in DBD have flashy pictures on their profiles and/or a VAC ban. I don't know I'm probably just weird.

I tend to dodge a lot of lobbies too. I don't like toxicity when its talking directly about me (I.e telling me to kms gets to me, calling me a ######### killer doesn't).
Due to this, I dodge every lobby that has an Xbox player in it (as I'm an xbox player) just so I don't receive these messages about me deserving to die because I did a meme end game Bubba build.

Yeah I feel you. I'd say I have a tough skin when it comes to toxicity (I played League for 7 years) but toxicity in general is not nice. I just feel like it will be a 100% loss when I play against someone with 1000/2000 hours and I'm not even a bad killer.

How can you know how many hours another player has? Or if they'd been banned before? Is this a PC thing?

I ashamed at how many lobbies I dodge, but that’s one of the few perks I have as a killer main. Might as well choose who I feel comfortable competing against...and if I was wrong, then I take the L.
Still rather take the L from half pc/half console group, with no P3 Claudette, or a single key between them. Then I at least know the loss was earned and not easily given to me.

Why not dodge while queues are instant as killer. I'll dodge if I see a key, see it's clearly a SWF or there is someone in the lobby I know to be toxic.

On steam you can see how many hours someone has and if they got banned at some point. They can set their profile on private so you can't see anything but it always shows that they got a VAC Ban (Valve Anti Cheat).

So, PC only?

Ye. I usally don't dodge console players except it's a full lobby because I noticed that often times the connection isn't that good.

You should think of playing computer games in a different way.
Play for fun and to learn/improve. Winning being a secondary objective.
If you’re afraid of being beaten by better players you will always struggle against them and never improve. If you play the game and get destroyed, rather than get upset try to learn from it

Four people with the same skin on the same platform? dodge.
3 or more people with similar names? dodge.
2 keys? Dodge.
4 tool boxes? Dodge.
These are really the only times I'll dodge because these people are usually out to just bully the killer. Now that's not to say this is ALWAYS true, there's legit groups that just play for fun, but sometimes you just get a gut feeling to dodge.

Okay so the key I get
The map carriers & tool boxes I don't get.
Would you avoid lobbies because someone has a claudette? I play claudette and Kate as a main. Understandably a claudette could be the worst nightmare for a killer main purely because the whole self care perk and obviously if you don't catch that claudette she's hiding behind a wall or other side of the map with Iron Will on silently healing herself 😂 (my perk and game play) so I'm one of those sneaky survivors 😂

Sounds like you want to face baby survivors when you say you dodge if the survivors have over 1k hours.

Maybe stop stalking every survivor in your lobby. That's the reason why my profile is private

Can't really blame you, nobody wants to be bullied by sweatlords

I haven't dodged lobbies much in recent memory. I don't really see the point. Outside of stalking profiles you can't actually tell if its a SWF now thanks to the game grouping up survivors before finding a killer.
I'd recommend just playing even if you think it might be tough, you can't improve unless you play vs good players.

I often play against people with over 1k hours, I play against people with thousand of hours all the time. The issue is I tend to dodge a lot of lobbies before I play one. When I dodge 5 lobbies and the next one has a player with thousand hours then I'm gonna play it. When I see someone with under 100 hours I dodge too. I just get nervous but I still 2k-3k most of my games.

Nah dude if you have a full profile with 25+ pages of -rep I'm gonna dodge. If you have a VAC im gonna dodge. I don't want to deal with people like that.

If you feel like you're dodging too much, just don't lol. Most of the times the squads aren't as scary as they look.
