Fellow console players.....
Do you ever wonder what the PC players in your lobby are saying in the chat?

Occasionally but I don’t worry myself over it

No.

Crossplay is off so nope :D

Yes. I wonder if they are talking about me
3 -
Nah. It's not important. I gather some do, but they drive themselves mad imagining what's being said when they've probably said nothing anyway.
1 -
Same as the person above, I find it funny that they're likely talking to nobody half the time. Especially when it's trash talk
3 -
It's big sad because I know slinger generates a lotta salt and I can't see it :(
1 -
Probably salty they got destroyed by a console player based off my experiences with ttvs
2 -
Sometimes.
Mostly I just think it'd be nice to be able to communicate with them.
Back when I used to play on PC, I didn't notice chat ever being that bad in general. In fact, I made more than a couple friends from post-game chat conversations.
I'm sure it's probably changed as the game has gotten bigger over the years, but there are nice people out there and I do wish I could talk to them.
PS4 does have a keyboard function, and there's no real reason it couldn't be used.

No why would I? Chats in games are a waste of time.

Well I didn’t...but now?

Every game I play is 3 PC survivors against console me. The killer is 50/50 PC and Console. I do try and represent console players well.

I just want to know if they got salty.

No. I don't care and never did. The PC chat is garbage. It's better without it.

No.

Yes, we need endgame chat on console :(
I would even enjoy a little trash talk without going to far it makes it fun.

I don’t really have to imagine as it’s either going to be a generic “GG”, a homophobic / racist slur or somebody telling me to kill myself. Does the chat really get more diverse than that? 🥴

Yeah, I prefer it turned off for those reasons. Plus, I just skip ultra fast anyway, so I'd miss anything said if it was a feature on consoles, haha.

having played pc as well, this is the majority of the chat

I usually play with crossplay off.
sooo nope xD

They're probably calling me a console shitter in post game chat even though most pc player's I've seen are hot garbage.

The Xbox has chat pads for controllers and USB ports for keyboards.
It sure would be nice to tell my teammates if/when I have Camaradrie equipped, since there is not enough indication of the perk existing during the match.
Either they don't know I have it and farm me off the hook when the killer camps, or they don't know I have it and leave me to die on the hook when the killer camps.
It needs a shared-perk icon while hooked (at the very least, while struggling) to get any decent value. (And this is after they fix the bug that occasionally makes you stop struggling for no reason while this perk is equipped.)

No I play with cross play off I somehow get matched with like switch players or something if I dont
1 -
Yeah i do and i also with i could talk to them.
I just had a hacker who was being discreet, only speed hacking during the chase out of sight and i wish i knew if the other survivors reported him or at least i wish i could tell them to report it. My last hacker was like more than 6 months ago.
Hacker btw is called 256 played as Meg avoid him.

I will never play DBD on PC because of the vitrol that can spew out of some people's mouths in the comments. It's why I prefer to play this game on consoles.

I agree

Nice

Sometimes I worry that I upset someone if I accidentally throw a pallet in their face instead of healing them because I messed up the buttons!!!!!! But usually I think they're beefing with the killer or are saying that I'm a console meg no matter how well I play lol :)! Don't fret over it too much though, it's a game and if people get mad at you for something you didn't mean to do it's really no big deal!

beefing with the killer? you mean saying that you called a legion smelly?
(she did not, in fact, say the legion was smelly, i just said she did)
1 -
me opening a notification from karu knowing he'll out me for calling someone smelly

Please forgive me bestie

I sometimes wonder for sure. I do wish console could chat with them. I've had matches where the killer was fun to play against and I'd want to say gg for the fun match. Others I've had where it's clearly a baby killer or someone who's new to the killer and I just wanna perk them up and tell them to keep at it. It's just a shame most end game chat (including console PMs) is usually some toxic garbage that's been heard a thousand times before.

I just had a game with an AFK Wraith. We did everything and i saw the only console Player standing on the hatch. I got out the last second and he/she died in an AFK round with round about 6000 points.
Just thinking about the rage made me almost come in my pants. Thats when i wished they had ingame chat.
Dont judge me i learned it the hard way because someone did this to me. The Bullyied always become the Bully you know. :D

"EZ" "Baby killer" "Crutch perks" "Trash camper"

Sometimes yeah. I don't understand why DBD doesn't have a text chat on Console considering numerous do... Although, the ability to completely dodge some extra toxicity is nice.

Same, I always play well so I don't have to worry about "console player lol". It's weird that this mentality exists because every console player I've played with/against have been 90% good but PC players are 50/50 in my games.

don't care I played on pc and ps4 so they don't say much anyway other then ready up or toxic things.

i wish console had a chat ... in dbd happens alot of weird sh!t and it would be funny to talk about it afterwards.
u can make friends, enemies, laugh or simply leave a gg i really miss that on console

Agree
We are missing out on an aspect of the game compared to PC players.

I don't really care about what they might say in chat.
Usually they don't really say anything and at most is a gg hahaha. At least that's what I notice when I play on pc, anyway.

Yes, I ponder deeply about what they may be saying. I tell myself " I wonder what they're saying". Then I listen the the song titled "Hello" by Adele and when she sings "Hello from the other side", it's like..... I felt that.
