Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003) was an amazing remake imo. Definitely one of the scarier Leatherfaces from all of the movies.

My bad...https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0096453/
"When a storm strands a group on a Massachusetts island where the only dwelling is an old hotel supposedly haunted by the ghost of a former German actress (Knef), the result is the standard horror film as each of the cast is picked off one-by-one."
Stars: David Hasselhoff and Linda Blair

Favourite horrors? Jaws. Closely followed by Halloween. Then, The Thing.

"Jacob's Ladder" is mine because of the emotional clout it presents and that it also grounds itself within the attrocities of the Vietnam War. Also, Tim Robbins.

I love 10 Cloverfield Lane. I've watched it a few times and it is just fantastic. The music is great, characters are well crafted and believable. I will not spoil it for those who haven't seen it, but it delivered for me on the horror front.

i really love the saw series

the original scream. it's so creative and the plot twist near the end is great.

There are many I could choose, but Wrong Turn is one that's just so nostalgic for me. The whole series is just so weird. The first couple movies are pretty subpar, then the rest of them are just awful, and I love them for it... I'd definitely consider it my guilty pleasure of horror movies lol.
Haven't seen the new one yet though, hopefully it's good!

John Carpenter's The Thing (1982), followed by House of Wax (1953).

Maybe a bit more thriller, but Misery was fantastic. Kathy Bates and James Caan are such a flawless double act.
