BP Cap Not Working???
So yeah basically as the title suggests I just got out of a match and I knew I was pretty close to the BP cap but I’m saving for Trickster tomorrow anyway so I didn’t really mind. To my surprise once I got out of the match I saw that I had gotten 5k BP and some change over the allowed 1,000,000 limit. I’m certainly not one to complain as I think the limit is a bit silly anyway but I was just wondering if this was an ongoing bug or something that’s just happening to me. I’m sure it’ll be fixed but just curious if anybody else has experienced this.

There are actually two separate limits under the hood. There's a 1,000,000 cap for BPs that you earn by playing the game, but there's no cap on the BPs you earn from things like store codes. So, as a result, it might be possible for you to have over 1,000,000 BPs at a time. I'm assuming you redeemed the 200K BPs code yesterday and haven't spent your BPs yet - if so you should be able to go up to 1,200,000.

It happens from time to time. It also works with codes. The highest I could get previously without codes was around 1.2 million

The cap ignores gifted BP from codes and such. It’s intended. Not too sure how the system differentiates between those when you spend them though...
i have 4M BP on my Switch version from Events and Codes. Waiting for cross progress to spend those!

I actually got about 1,006,000 ish the other day after a match with BPS. I think there's some truth to it being a bit inconsistent. If anyone has 1mil rn, maybe play a match and report if it continues?

I actually have an update. So I’ve played a few more rounds and it’s not from the 200k code, I redeemed that a few days ago. I have gone over the 1m cap just from gameplay BP alone and it keeps letting me earn more. I’m guessing my game is just acting up or something if it’s letting me do this.

Have you spent that 200k, though? If not it'll still go over 1,000,000.

I have not, that must be what’s up, thank you so much!
