Felt scammed this Chapter.
Hello there, I know that there are a ton of bad criticism post about the new chapter but I just want to convey my feelings.
I was pretty excited last week because the chapter was delayed and was of one the positive ones thinking that it was delayed for lessening the bugs and buffing trickster. And behold this chapter, I'm a rank 1 Killer that knows how to fair against good survivor but I cant win anything with the new killer as every survivor I go against are good at looping, why bother to use the power of the Depipster if its better to be a 110% ms M1 killer. I feel scammed out of 9k shards and this god damn blood web wont give me the perks that I want like Pop, Ruin or Corrupt at giving it nearly 2 million BPs so I just get trials that gens are popping so fast as he has no map pressure!
I was even expecting to main trickster but nah, Ill wait for the next 2 chapters(If I dont quit at that point) like Blight got buffed after 2 chapters and Wraith is finally good now after being in the game since the 2016. Like it will probably take a long time to make Depipster decent imo. Also yay more game breaking bugs like you guys took more time to release this chapter and it still has a number of bugs. Like lunging at a pallet wont stun a killer, Tree stumps has a bug where the killer will get stuck like the hill bug but for killers and Spirit fury and enduring combo is bug too like cant you guys hire Play testers if you feedback from the PTB will just be ignored.
So what do you guys think this chapter? Its like Twins chapter for me but at least I had fun playing them.

Bhvr never said they were delaying to buff. They also listed the changes from PTB two weeks before release.
I understand the killer is weak and that's disappointing, but if you had waited even half a day to buy him, you would have seen what pretty much everyone was saying: Trickster is not in a good state.

I can't say The Trickster is breaking records, but I also can't say his power isn't fun in a way either.
But that's usually when it works under the right circumstances. This isn't really a throw A and hit B type of Killer like Huntress or Deathslinger, it really does require some critical thinking in a match sometimes to make it work. I will say that his add-on Trick Knife makes for some really fun downs when paired with Thumb Drive.
That's something I hope they add to his base-kit (Both those add-ons), since it would add more damage to the power without requiring a speed boost. If not, then the speed boost is definitely needed if the focus for this power is gradual damage, rather then immediate.
All in all, base-kit is for a lack of better words a death sentence. But with the right set-up you can make it work-ish. But if the team knows what they're doing you're kinda doomed.

I know the basics, use the power on short height loops or in open space but the ones I go up against are either running straight to a strong and high height loops like shack and those loops on ormond and swamps where its better to just M1 rather to power. Another thing is why bother to use the main Power, the showstopper? You cant save it, cant use when you need it, and when you use it, has a wind up and a stun in the end?? Then you cant throw knives for a time like who comes up with this crap?

hes bad, needs a buff entirely, but looks wise and backstory etc 10/10

Out of most matches I probably only use Show Stopper when there's no windows, pallets, or corners around. Otherwise the power just get wasted since by the time I get it I already downed someone, hooked them, and the power ends.
But in the right circumstances, though rare, it's quite effective in downing multiple survivors. Add Trick Knife and Thumb Drive and you're downing people left and right.
Otherwise yeah, most survivors who know what to do against The Trickster will naturally abuse loops you can't possible catch up to. Unfortunately there isn't much of a fix to that, either break the chase or power through to either get stunned or lose multiple gens.

There was so much negative feedback on these forums, how can you feel scammed when it was clear exactly how bad this killer was from the very beginning?

I'd say that the clunky way Main Event activate (you need to throw a blade at someone, then totally stop to be able to activate the thing itself that will THEN take a couple of seconds AGAIN) coupled with the fact that you STILL need to spend a good couple of seconds targeting someone to get it down while being extremely slowed down often means that you just wont have any chance to down more than one person... often a person that you would have down anyway since you were already throwing blades at them (its the reason why you got Main Event activated in the first place), and stopped for a couple of second to get the main event started.
That's one of the main problem of Main Event (outside of the fact that for some baffling reasons you cannot just keep it ready to use whenever you see fit), it's activation takes way too long and is way too clunky, having to stop throwing at someone to then start the event feels just bad, the thing shouldn't have an activation delay and should be usable while already throwing blades.

They listed some* changes on twitter then got tons of feedback there too. Again I was thinking positive that maybe just maybe they'll listen to it. I didn't know that they would entirely ignore the community and fog whisperers.

Hoping that the devs can't mess up majorly 3 times in a row (5 or 6 if you count mid chapter patches and events since the blight chapter)?

I know there was tons of negative feedback, it was the same with Blight and Twins where PTB they were bad but in their release they got decent. I thought this would happen to Trickster but I was wrong and now feel scammed

Right, if they just let you preserve it like Myers Tier lll then it'd see more use. Of course in certain circumstances this would arguable be busted under the right conditions, so reducing the time of it while also letting you preserve it would be a fair trade.
Not an insane time cut, but not one that allows you to chain down multiple survivors if your add-ons are good and your aim isn't bad. But you could also argue because of its limitations, it wouldn't need a time cut at all.

This seems to be a reoccurring trend with BHVR lately. Every killer that comes out is either garbage or broken on PTB and upon release. After a month of tweaks they might make crappy tier. Even rarer for them to hit viable. I think they are fresh out of ideas and they are afraid to make a strong killer.

A sad trend in video game industries... Build massive hype, collect sales, but don't provide.
Then patch the new content into a playable state in 3-4 weeks.

I'll be honest, I'll take any time cuts if I can in return activate it when it full whenever I want rather than in the small windows we have right now, and if it was activable on the fly without pause in the middle of throws.
But I also think the skill could be changed completely like I've described in that (lengthy) post

they even nerfed him because his knives did double damage with trickblades in ptb now they dont
and I don't want to hear people crying it's OP.
it's not and it's no where near as good as iri head

Style over substance
That's what I think about the All-Kill chapter
