Why can we not have a surrender button?
If I’m not enjoying the match, going against a 4 man SWF who I can’t even land a hit on. I think after a certain point I just want to leave. Congrats. You beat the will for me to play out of me. Half the time people won’t leave when you’ve given up. Instead they want to tbag and be litte dicks. Or be toxic. At least if you want to give up as survivor you can always die on hook. Unless we want a time penalty, Killers just have to suffer through it.

Theres a Dc button, but in all seriousness, if you dont try and win even if your going against a sweat swf, your not going to get better at going against said Swf, so its a learing oppurtunity, all be it a stressfull one

There’s no getting better against a 4 man SWF if you’re using one of the weaker killers. I was using Demo and couldn’t even get anyone.
9 -
Yeah, cut the BP. One everyone is sweaty AF to be the best player in the world. I just wanna play to have fun and playing againts SWF usually isn't.
2 -
Because it's all well and good for a survivor to surrender but killers are supposed to be bots.
Also because killers would leave most trials with high MMR.
0 -
And survivor could try to get better against killer they don't like to be able to overcome them but many opt for the suicide on first Hook, even uselessly running up to killer if they think it won't be fun enough.
5 -
No one wants to play high MMR except sweat squads so of course.

trust me man, i used to dread going against a swf, but now that i have faced many of them, its becoming easier and easier, and i can say about 70% of the time i get a 4k (as the twins , without camping/tunneling) you get to realise *most* swf are cocky and over altruistic , and you can use this to your advantage, also if you get someone in the basement try and put the portal at the top of the stairs so you have time to teleport before they get up
1 -
yes i think both sides, are dumb to be honest, if you ######### on first hook ur screwing the game up for everybody
2 -
I rarely play Killer anymore anyway. It’s not fun to me. And I can only play at night and no joke all I ever get is SWF or Twitch streamers who are all red ranks while I’m rank 13. It’s just not fun anymore. I play a match or two, realize why I don’t like it, then move back to survivor.
2 -
id reccomend lobby dodging if you want to have a easier time, tho i rarely do it, i only do it for legacy skins really
0 -
But I like demo :( I dunno sadly all you can do is try your best, at some point you will get them so theres always that, those game you have to try and just ignore. You could always dc providing its 1 game a day and its purely due to them holding it hostage

It’s hard to lobby dodge SWF when you can’t even tell. Just had a match with all PS4 players like myself. Usually on their profile it will tell if they are in a party. It didn’t so I assumed they were all randoms. Got into the match and into my first chase three gens popped quick. Hooked and walked away and two seconds later unhooked. Later found out they were indeed SWF cause they told me after. SWF teams are hiding it now it seems to make killers not dodge lobbies. So I’m screwed it seems.

I like a lot of the killers, demo included. But the vast majority of killers are insanely weak against survivors on comms. Demo is one of them.
1 -
Meh, there is one guy over 1000 that has a legacy skin, and 3 guys over 4 who have a legacy have cheated to get it. I see a legacy, I know it will be a fun game with someone arrogant that doesn't know how to play at all.

Lol these comments.
Where's the surrender button for the slugged survivors who are forced to wait a bleedout or are trapped?
Double standards are strong here.
0 -
I’ve actually advocated for that before as well. In a post a long time ago where I and another person was forced to bleed out. It’s not a double standard. It’s just that wasn’t the topic at hand. If I mentioned both survivor and killer in the post that would be different.
4 -
In that case I love you.
More or less the replies to this are frustrating with all the hate towards survivors like they're the cause for all the bad in the game.
If it were up to me there wouldn't be a dc penalty on either side, but I get that's an unpopular opinion around here.

I wouldn’t go so far as to say no DC penalty. Otherwise everyone would just leave the minute they are downed or the minute a killer misses a hit. I would say the surrender button needs to be for when everyone is downed and a prompt will come up saying you want to group surrender and all have to agree to it. That’s what Identity V does, which is a DBd like mobile game I use to play. As for Killer I would say when three gens are done then the surrender button can be avaiable. If that happens the survivors can get a boost in BP as a reward and the Killer doesn’t get penalized for it.
Also I love you too. Marry me.

What if, for killer they're able to open the gates whenever they want? That feels fair.
I DO!
2 -
Because then you'll surrender and your friend will get hatch.
1 -
The closest thing to a surrender button is to just stand at an exit gate, open it once powered, and let endgame collapse do its thing. If survivors are being dicks and not doing gens after 5-10 minutes when it's obvious you've given up, I don't think you're being a dick by DCing, since they're pretty much holding the game hostage at that point. Although you're still going to get the penalty
1 -
For survivors I think it needs to only come up when everyone is downed. And the group has to agree as a whole to surrender.

I knew one day I would marry a gamer girl.
0 -
Agreed, this is what I've been doing and it's been helping me a lot. In the end, it's best not to give up. Don't expect to win every game anyways.
You can do this with any killer (except Trickster honestly) too.
2 -
Which is why I don’t want the penalty. I suggested maybe allowing the killer to surrender. Thus giving the survivors Bonus BP. Likewise if the survivors surrender Killers get bonus BP
0 -
That'd be nice but I guess I just can't see bhvr ever doing that, unfortunately. DCing when the game is being held hostage shouldn't result in a penalty, but there's just no real way of them identifying that situation in real time. Or at least... I would be skeptical of whatever solution they would come up with
9 times out of 10 though, the survivors will leave if you are having a staring contest with the exit gate switch. I have played enough nurse matches to confirm this. It's not perfect but it's probably the best we're gunna get

"Stop hooking Survivors" is my best advice, you are garenteed to derank with an Entity Displeased every trial and you will still be learning the basic and advance techs of Killers, you will progress like everyone else but always stay in the lowest of the ranks.
I suggest Knock Out if you want to "win" with a 4k bleed out but still you will derank.

Lobby dodging as killer just screws over other killers.
A killer dodges a lobby full of survivors near their own skill (allegedly). The lobby is not closed; the survivors are not forced to re-queue. Instead, the next best available killer is thrown in. If there are not enough killers queueing to offer a good matchup, a heavily-out-matched killer is chosen.
That killer gets stomped, decides to no longer play killer, and the cycle continues.
0 -
It actually exists, it's the DC button it's pretty good when you go against Spirit.
2 -
isn't object just an easy time finding survivors? thats why i like when survs run it, the ones that do are usually over cocky anyways
0 -
to me playing killer is a great opportunity to play better as survivor, the best players play both sides to get better at the other vice versa
0 -
well first problem is playing trickster, they only see you when you are a certain distance away, after that its up to your tracking ability

This!
I legit wish there were a surrender button on both sides. I picture something like this:
As a killer, once 4 gens are done and you're under a certain threshold on your hook count, you have an option to forfeit the match. If you do it, all survivors immediately get either double BP or they get a special BP bonus. The killer loses either all of their points, half of their points, or only get a set amount of BP for the match, and it does not count as a DC so they can just queue up again and not waste time and energy in a situation that sometimes is not worth trying to get back from.
As a survivor it would work like a vote system where all survivors have to choose to give up. This way one person giving up doesn't just screw the entire team like with hook suicides or normal DCs. And it could work like Endgame collapse where the entity just kills everyone. But you shouldn't be able to just do it at the start of a match. Maybe like once the killer gets a certain amount of hook progression while being under 1 or 2 gens done or something. Pointwise it would work about the same as the killer one.
Obviously this is just a rough idea but the intention is to give both teams the chance to forfeit something they see no reason in continuing while still requiring them to put in some effort in the match before coming to that conclusion and providing the other team with an actual game. No instant forfeit just cuz you're going against a killer you don't like or cuz you see 3 survivors with OoO....

but you can also see them , so they should be close enough were it shouldnt matter
0 -
Idk why but every time I go against a iri head huntress my menu just opens by itself and it auto dcs.
0 -
You're not forced to stay in trials you don't like.
0 -
your problem is the killer, on any other killer you would be fine
0 -
there's so many spirit players because she's broken, and has no counter play, unless you have iron will and for some reason she didn't bring stridor
0 -
If you genuinely give up, you could go AFK until all generators are completed, then open the gates to force EGC to kick survivors out.
However, I wouldn't recommend this because it won't help you improve as a player. However, if I see survivors using keys, I'll definitely just give up because there's no way I'm going to prevent the hatch from spawning in when you're going to lose 2-3 generators alone trying to build up momentum — only as Nurse I'll attempt face a key SWF. 😅
1 -
Just had a match with a Huntress who just slugged all of us in the match and not even one gen was done. She wasn’t picking anyone up so I had to DC. That would have been the perfect reason to have a group surrender button.
0 -
TL:DR
If there was a surrender button no one would get to play. Every single time it;s a spirit survivors will dc. Every time 3 gens pop before the killer downs 1 person they will quit.
1 -
Have people just outright forgotten the killer can open the gates themselves once the generators are done? Do they not understand that this triggers the End Game Collapse and puts a hard 2 minute timer that ends the game if they do nothing else from that point forward?
0 -
Survivors can kill themselves on hook but Identity V, which is a great DBD mobile clone, has a group surrender option if everyone is downed. Everyone has to agree to it or else no one surrenders. They could easily implement it that way. Give killer extra BP for it. Same with Killer. If you’re getting gen rushed and it’s already down to 2 gens and you’re not doing great. Just surrender and the survivors get extra BP.
0 -
And what if the survivors leave one gen untouched or hold the game hostage? That exit gate sure isn’t going to work then. What if there is only one gen left and the survivors then decide to hide for salty reasons and don’t continue working on gens?
0 -
Then get your ass out there and find them or disconnect. Those are your choices. That's a decision we can't make for you. While I don't advocate quitting mid-game, killer dropping a game has less impact than a survivor dropping a game, and they do make allowances for you to quit every once in awhile as long as you don't make a habit of it.
Hell, even I drop a disconnect from time to time. But I personally make it a rule to only do that if I'm done for the night... because if I'm incapable of dealing with opponents kicking my ass, I have no business playing anymore.
1 -
If you don't want to play then just walk away and get yourself a coffee or something until they have left
0 -
You make it sound like I’m at work dealing with awful customers lol
0 -
at that point get up and make yourself a snack, cuddle a loved one, or do something more productive to wait out the 4 minute timer. 4 minutes isn't that big of deal. Quitting is just rewarding the behavior and penalizing you.
0 -
Ah yeah, just learn to play around the cheaters with perfect information. Of course.
0 -
If you really don't want to play the game as Killer, Just stand on the exit gate and tab out.
They can all sweat and hold M1 while you watch videos.
Bonus points if they waste time running around you.
