Question About Oni's Blood Fury

I noticed that Oni's damage generator animation changes when Blood Fury is active. (Uses his kanabo rather than kicking). Does Blood Fury increase Oni's gen regression when damaging, or is this just an animation change?

It's just an animation change, as far as I know.
