Why did no one talked about how they improved console frames?
Lets be honest. Since the last few months the game went way better on console. (Atleast on my normal PS4)
I had waaay less lags and stutters and barely noticed any frame drops.
It just runs so much better than before and i didnt saw anyone mentioning this.

I didnt see any improvements. It seems worse.

Same.
Still get the same FPS drops/freezes from various status effects (e.g exposed, bloodlust etc.).
I even have a new trigger for FPS drops/freezes.It's whenever a new icon from perks and addons appear on my screen (e.g Prove Thyself,Dying Light etc.)

I can barely play mine. When I'm looping I'm teleported in front the killer. When I'm chasing I'm teleported behind an object. It's awful and hasn't done it this bad before.

I have two different PS4's and they both run fine as well. I still get some minor stutters here and there but I haven't had any really bad frame drops in a while.
Only complaint is they take off to the moon when I start DBD but it calms down after the loading screen.

I wish they’d add reticle options for console killers. Like when Huntress throws there’s a tiny dot indicating where it’ll go. Why? Console controllers/sensitivities are not as precise as PC, and never will be. It makes certain killers neigh impossible to play against adept PC players. PC players will spin really fast on their screen, and on my PS screen they’re blipping on/off the screen. Suddenly not making sounds anymore, etc. The only players that can fight this will always stress “I played Console Nurse for 3000 hours”. Of course you can lmso. If anyone played a game THAT much they better be good at it.
I shouldn’t be missing attacks that are like 4 meters away because my sensitivity cannot match someone else’s. One flick at a tight spot is all they need to do to dodge Console Oni Demon Rush. One tight angle that a console controller cannot fully achieve. This is the same with Console Nurses. I can only look in a single direction during a full blink, but on PC I see players looking all around in a single blink to find survivors. The comparison is vast.
If I knew where I was blinking I could adjust to the limited movements. If I knew where The Trickster’s Knives would fly I could adjust to the players movements better. I can’t. Really fun, but it’s really annoying. Which is why I dislike killer on Console lol. Survivor is much more console friendly. I could disable Cross-Play, but then I’ll sit around for 30 minutes between matches...

You know, I heard a lot about the frame drops on Console but I never actually saw a clip.
Damn. That is practically unplayable. I am so sorry to all the console players out there </3

It's literally like this every game.
If you can believe it, it actually runs worse if you play Killer.
This is why I refuse to let Console Optimization go, we need it BADLY.

I have noticed improved frame rate... but only with certain killers on certain maps as the last survivor is being sacrificed (fewest number of player models to render possible).
I have also noticed my frame rate dropping to 0.25 (bascially freezing/hiccup) anytime I get within 2m of a survivor and when the survivors use Dead Hard.
1 -
It's really bad. I can't even use exhaustion perks. Every time I use dead hard my frames drop, I lose distance and I die. I can't tell you the number of time I have gotten hit due to frame drops
5 -
No no, that's just Dead Hard's intended effect. You know, like this:

My game was better since twins, however after all kill, it has been much worse on xbox one
2 -
I never had any drops like that.

skillchecks got a bit smoother. but I didn't really notice any fps improvement

It’s probably your internet connection. The game since cross play runs fine

It has gotten a bit worse for me on my Xbox1

Xbox One for me has been much better. There was one point when I was on the character select screen that it would often give a "No Connection" status, but that's gone.
I do have fast internet, so that's probably helping as the game gets tiered to newer gen consoles.

Never had any problems in other online games

i play on the ps4 and ive never seen something like this man,i dont know...

Could you show me some killer gameplay from you?
I would like to see how getting bloodlust or a survivor using dead hard looks like on your console
Would be much appreciated

It isn't.
As of this moment, when there's massive strain on my internet due to Zoom calls, I am getting 250 mbps download and 34 mbps upload.
Here's one of my clips

why no one has talked about improving the fps in consoles. well, they alredy struggle to get a chapter right. and with the graphic update. well we have dbd. idk what else i can tell you.
3 -
Because it should of been a thing 3 years ago

I must say PS5 version works just fine. Killers that felt laggy work smoothly now amd FPS aren't visibly dropping
0 -
Because it never happened?
5 -
Trust me,you can't see the difference between ps4 and pc gameplay in my case. The problem is coming from the xbox or the survivors internet connection, the frames are fine on my ps4
0 -
Idk, PC frames are worse than ever.

Then prove it. Share some clips because my One X and my buddies PS4 Pro have a terrible time.
4 -
It's better but not consistently better.

I dont think i will, due to my limited time unfortunately. You should trust my words,i have nothing to gain or lose by lying

I love that after recent patches we have more triggers for FPS drops instead of less. It's awesome.
My SWF teammate and I both experience FPS drops as killer and survivor. I'm on original ps4, he's on ps4 pro. It's specific triggers causing the drops, not internet issues. Multiple forum members have shown the FPS drops from these triggers as well as listed the specific triggers on posts such as https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/187573/console-optimization#latest. I wish the game felt better after patches but instead I've found new FPS drops during my games.

I'm not going to trust you without proof.
The burden of proof falls to you, since you are the one making claims. I've already demonstrated my point and all you've said is "that isn't true."
3 -
Just because it's true for you doesn't mean it's true across the board. Every online game I play on my PS4 Pro works fine except DbD. It's not my internet, it's not my system. There are enough people on these forums saying the same thing that there is a problem. If the game works perfectly fine for you, great! You're one of the lucky ones. Enjoy it.

I dont care if you trust me or not, thats up to you

I clearly wrote in english that my frames don’t drop like the videos above,i didn’t say anything else.....

I have exactly this issue on PC, it happens by far mostly when a survivor im chasing uses dead hard or when I go into bloodlust 1, this was a thing since I started playing and it still is today and its honestly the worst
1 -
I have not noticed anything different apart from on my PS4 Pro it seems laggy and slow but on my PS5 it seems to run a lot better apart from when I play as killer they seem to do something weird thing like they are lagging moving back and forth quickly and then you can continue to move again or it’s like you get stuck on something that isn’t there. Never happens being a survivor though. It only happens with Freddy.

I can confirm that I’ve not experienced frame drops as bad as the one in the clip since a looong time.
also yes, frames on ps4 got more stable in the last couple of patches, but they certainly are not enough for a good experience: yesterday I tried dbd on the ps5 for the first time and it was night and day... countering 360 became a joke overnight.
