Thoughts About the Upcoming Anniversary Event?
I wanted to start this by saying that I personally am a bit concerned about the fate of the 5th Anniversary Event. The Devs said several months ago that they would take some efforts away from smaller events like summer events, lunar new year, etc. in favor of the Halloween and Anniversary events. However, shortly after saying this was the Halloween Event which left MANY of us disappointed. The re-introduction of an exclusive in the game, the Dwight crow. Personally I did not mind having to get the code from streamers, because it is fairly easy to get it especially from smaller fog whisperer channels but I understand why many people would not enjoy it.
In all fairness, the devs said the days of exclusives were over. Not only this but the removal of event currency was also taken away which, in turn, took away free cosmetics. They said that more effort would be going into two single events yet all we got really was halloween event gens and hooks (which btw we also got an even better version of during lunar new year). So if this is the quality we can expect from one of the two main events I can’t help but fear the fate of the 5th Anniversary event.
I hate that I started playing this game long after events like summer scorching BBQ, which seemed like an amazing event. I even wish I was playing while the 4th year anniversary was ongoing so I could get the crown. I just hope that there is something for the 5th anniversary that really makes the community happy. I was wondering if anybody else was worried about the fate of the upcoming event after the disappointment a lot of people had with the Halloween event?

I recall this being very shortly before the Halloween event but I could be mistaken.

I hope the 5th anniversary gives us a huge special. 105% party streamer offering and a double bloodpoint event for the entirety of it, and something like the crown for all non-licensed characters. 5 years of DBD gotta bring something HUGE, eh?

This is what I’m hoping. A felix crown would be the dream. They have such a great opportunity and with Behavior renewing its license for Halloween as well. I just hope we see some new stuff.

Yeah they did. They said in light of community feedback from the Halloween event they were taking time away from smaller events to make those more mini celebrations and have only Halloween and the Anniversary be the focuses and have those be the events.
Also, to the op, I wish they brought back event currencies if it was just a way that during the event you could gain the cosmetics for free through playing the event. Then after the event is over have the cosmetics still available for event currency up until the next chapter/mid chapter patch. Sort of like what they did back in 2019 just take the rift part out. Have all new cosmetics in the shop available for shard, ac, and the event currency. You play the event to gain the event currency and then you can buy 2-3 new event outfits with this currency for free.
