As much as I dislike the fact that the game takes too long to get ######### done.
I would take this, and the employees of the company being well off and dignified a million times over the constant abuse, neglect, stress and insecurity a lot of Activision Blizzard's employees suffer. (Not to mention how much they prey upon their customers with much more insidious and disgusting monetization than BHVR ever has with DBD.)
Employees have much less of a choice than customers so I prefer customers getting a bit of a worse experience over employees getting #########.
Obviously the ideal is to strike a good balance where your employees are nice off and aren't being exploited and your customers are given a good service and product. But I'll take the ######### end of the stick while knowing the employees of a company are better off for it.
Especially since, as much as DBD has problems, it's acceptable enough that its fun most of the time.

Blizzard isn't what it used to be. They're very slow to get fixes to common issues out. (Castle Nathria skip respawn bug didn't get fixed for like 2.5 months. A Vengeance Demon Hunter bug that made them GOD-tier wasn't even discovered during the beta, and wasn't until like 2 weeks ago that it was fixed. lmao)

That respawn bug was so annoying. Not to mention my Frost Mage still randomly pulls half the m+ instance just by existing and they still haven't discovered what's causing this. So yes, I agree, Blizzard has seen better days.

The Blizzard of old is long gone, the one that made Starcraft, Warcraft 2, Diablo 2, Warcraft 3, Starcraft 2, vanilla WoW and TBC does not exist anymore, Activison-Blizzard took the name but their philosphy has shifted towards EA levels of corporation shenanigans, they are a bit faster fixing stuff because for now they have unlimited funds but make no mistake, the very moment some corporate suit notices they can get a new jet by slashing the budget in half they will patch things whenever they can.
By no means this excuses the gamebreaking bugs we get every patch but you are comparing them to something thats no better.

If it was valve's game, the fix would have come quite literally 1.5 hrs after patch release :)
On a serious note, pallet bug is anything but game-breaking. It's slightly annoying at most.

600 employees for the business as a whole. Janitorial staff, catering staff, and staff that work on all the other projects BHVR develops. The DBD team is still relatively small, and DBD isn't the only project that BHVR work on, despite what you want to believe.

I'd say DE is the best developer to compare with tbh. Indie dev team, huge game, Warframe, they make a ######### ton of money off cosmetics etc, just like Bhvr, and legit there have been 10 hotfixes in just over 2 weeks since they brought out a new major update with an extension of said update coming later this month.

Not stunning the killer is generally death for the majority of pallets since map reworks became a thing.
And getting hit through them is partially related, but there is another bug that does this too, that is unrelated to the stun bug.

I've put the game away too. If they fix the pallet issue quick then I may still have an interest but also not a fan of their desire to turn it into a tunnel fest of a game. I'd rather them just adjust the balance & make your first hook the sacrifice.
When I play as a killer, tunnelling is just a massive turn off to do. There is limited skill & lessens the challenge. It also reduces the impact of expectation & suspense.
Like a lot of games, this will eventually end up as 5 minute matches for the majority. Good luck sitting in matchmaking state for 15 minutes plus just for that end result

Yeah because they instantly fixed Warcraft 3: Reforged right? The worst rated game in metacritic btw. Still no ladder. Still no custom campaigns. Still full of bugs. What a great company Blizzard is...

dbd mobile, completely seperate team.
Last year they released a Game Of Thrones mobile game
There was also a game about "Giblings" though I don't pretend to know much about that.
They're also hired out for other projects, such as Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 & 2 remake, Dirt 5, Gears V, and Defiance 2050 (all of which can be viewed on their website).
So yes they do develop other games. Sorry if this ruins your narrative.

If this was Blizzard the game mechanics would all be so basic (and boring) that nothing would ever need fixes. Hasn't anyone noticed that the different levels are really the exact same level with different graphics? :)

Blizzard was an efficient company Since WoW Vanilla, when they were Blizzard North, not Activision Blizzard.
The difference betwen BHVR and Blizzard is that one priorizes making money and the other priorizes users.
If the Game is full of bugs and they release new skins but not Hotfixes, there is nothing more to say about them, the are just trying to do minimal services untill DBD dies and they Will ignore the game as they did with Payday.
BHVR is not a good example of videogames company, and compare It with Blizzard is a joke.

The devs have stated they work when they want to. So don’t ever expect them to work round the clock to fix bugs. They know there is no competition for this game so there is no real reason to work to improve it constantly. They will get to it when they feel like it.

If it was run by Blizzard, they would have already abandoned it for Dead by Daylight 2. Which, you know, might launch in 2022, possibly 2023 . . . .

Not really. You only need to stun with unsafe pallets. And they are the minority on almost every map. I had no problems in the last week and i think some survivors would play better when they wouldnt try to stun every time.

Because Blizzard is a huge giant billion-dollar revenue company who have had years of experience with multiple big titles and can afford to have a team dedicated to bug-patches and hot fixes.
Meanwhile, BHVR is much smaller and much less experienced. This naturally means that their capacities are going to be much more limited. They'll probably try to address it in the 4.6.1 bug fix, but realize that you can't just wish away a bug and then have it excised without any other complications. It's a more investigative and laborious process than just punching a few buttons. As much credit I have to give to the devs for creating the game thus far, it is, euphemistically, buggy as hell, and they aren't the most experienced.

Maybe on the PC version.
If the game version wasn't sync'd between PC and console we could see faster updates. But consoles have certification requirements.
Blizzard is a poor example. If you want to talk about fast patching look at DE. You could expect two or three hotfixes within hours of a major update. (PC version ofc)

Hotfixes can be made in less time if it is crucial to the game. Warframe makes hotfixes fairly frequently to console and in less than a day if needed.

Oh man big twitch streamers who usually played Blizzards game got harrassed even. But its imo its not as bad of a ######### up that was Warcraft 3 Reforged, in the Blizzard community, we don't talk about that game ever

You actually bring up the best point, see it matters about how much people you have that are willing to work. I would think the amount of people that work for the coding of Blizzard is probably as much as Bhvrs' company as a whole. I get people are fed up and pissed about how DBD is in bug fixing but people are forgetting to realized the amount of people who are working on the coding of DBD is probably 30 or 60 maybe less, I would even bet that group is split by half one to work on programming for future content the other for bug fixing.

It's actually closer to 700, but that includes all employees. In case you haven't noticed, they need HR, legal, custodial, maintenance, and all sorts of overhead that isn't remotely related to building a game.
Even within the team dedicated to DBD, there are separate divisions for audio, graphics, game development, etc. etc. etc. So an even smaller percentage of an already small percentage is working on these.
Then, you have to move onto identifying, fixing, and implementing the fixes of said bugs. Just recognizing a bug isn't enough. You have to find what is causing that bug, and tweak it if possible. Many times, bugs aren't the result of someone accidentally sneezing on their keyboard, but unintended features caused by other intended features. Then you consider that BHVR doesn't have the most experience in running a huge video game like DBD (The proverbial "one glitch gone, 50 glitches added") and it's understandable that patches are dripping out at this rate.

Sure, but look at a company like Riot Games. They had around 600 employees 10 years ago and even back then LoL was the most played game in the WORLD and that included everyone as well. BHVR is huge compared to the size of their game.

If the bug caused killers to miss 90% of their hits it would be fixed within hours. When we had the previous desync bug it took then 2 weeks to fix it.

LoL was much simpler than DBD, not to mention still buggy. Plus, they began a rapid expansion after LoL and burgeoned to 4 times that size.

This tells me you barely play survivor. You’re upset about a mechanic that is obviously a get out of jail free card for survivors that they use knowing they can’t beat you normally? If you got hooks and blood points and killed 2 and 2 got hatch together in the end that really makes you quit killer and rather play survivor with broken pallets that make unsafe pallets totally useless? Y’all really out here crying about keys when I see a key escape as killer I’m like lol I was too much for ya. Keep blowing your blood vessels for the 4K lol 4K vs 3k is life or death!

I gave up on the game when they started their whole 'yeah, let's screw over malygos and ysera for the sake of raidbosses and make knaak's OCs superspecial important' (his books are so bad Dx )

By all means, thinking about it, the problem is that dbd hasn't evolved/expanded much since the early days. No new mechanics, no crass overhaul of how perks etc work... and a community that is strangely averse against anything new on top of that

You realize they release 1-2 games every years right? You realize that many of those 600 employee work on other stuff and not coding, right?
I mean yes the pacing of bug patching is horrible but 600employee divided on 3 project+ DBD at the same time + the various subdivision withing a game mean there aren't much resources left to begin with.

1. Doomfist still (somehow) exists and has more bugs than this entire game
2. Blizzard has more people working on a digital card game than BHVR has employees.
So not quite, but if Blizzard did run this game you wouldn't be able to directly buy the cosmetics you want, instead entity loot boxes for all.
