Can't properly play with friends

When i join my friends lobby, i can see his skin, but i cant see anything in chat (though i learned from him that i can still send messages, even if i cant see them myself), and he doesnt ready up at all on my screen, which ends in him getting into a lobby and me staying in the glitched lobby when we both ready up.

When i invite him and he joins, i cant see his character at all, and the same 2 issues previously mentioned occur.

Everything seems to be working fine from his perspective, so what am i doing wrong?

    Both restart your game and itll fix it. This is an issue if experienced often but tend to happen more if someone joins after being in a killer lobby etc. A full game restart should fix it. avoid going in killer lobbies and spectate till the match is over as if you back out and wait for so long it can also bug. Hope it helps

    I get bugged lobbies with by buddy now and then and having both of us close app and restart the game usually fixes it.
