Tunneling As A Killer In No DS Games

First of all, the intention of this post is to get more survivors to bring DS again since it's just resulting in more boring matches in my games. I either choose to tunnel survivors which ends the games too quickly, or it turns into much harder matches for me because each of them having an extra perk to help them. So here it goes;

In the current state of the game, Decisive Strike is the only realistic reason a killer wouldn't tunnel other than being nice. The drawback to using this perk is that you are left with only 3 other perks, obviously. Personally when I play killer I don't like tunneling and like to have as many chases as I can each game, but with how few survivors using DS since the changes, not tunneling them feels like giving every survivor a free 5th perk, which feels unfair to the killer. I'm not talking about going out of my way to tunnel them, but if they get unhooked a few meters from me I will wait out the BT and hook them again.

So to any survivor who reads this, if you don't want to be tunneled bring DS, it is still as good at preventing tunneling as it was before, I can tell from experience. If you don't bring it, don't blame the killer for tunneling you since you chose to bring another perk rather than DS knowing the risk and he doesn't have to give you the luxury of having 4 perks AND the safety of not being tunneled.

Of course killers can be nice, but don't depend on it.

    I don't usually bring DS because I'm quite good at looping the killer most of the time or evading him after getting hooked. I very rarely brought it before the nerf or basically ever, other perks fit me more.

    I'm always baffled when my teammates don't bring it with how terribly most of them play and then blame killer for getting rid of easy targets.

    BBQ, Devour Hope, Make Your Choice, Furtive Chase.

    I'm pretty much always running at least one of these. I've done quite well as Trickster with Furtive Chase.

    As killer, I'd love more perks like these. Ideally some kind of gen defence. Perhaps a perk where a survivor who gets unhooked suffers from 20/30/40% reduced repair efficiency for 60 seconds, so that you WANT the survivor who just got unhooked to go work on gens instead of another survivor.

    Lol at DS is the only reason tunnelling to not tunnel.

    How about actually trying to get good at the game by spreading who you go for rather than taking the easy win and tunnelling?

    Why not tunnel if there is no DS?

    As a killer, your only goals are killing and defending gens. The only deterrent to not tunneling someone is they are good at looping. Good survivors don’t get tunneled. Bad ones do.

    I guess survivors want a challenge, like when they take no mither. Nobody is stopping them from running a perk they always ran previously.
