Can somebody explain the reasoning behind "kidnapping victor" problem salvation?
So, right now charlotte can press a button to retrieve victor after a certain time passes and survivor doesn't remove him.
Why is that?
Why doesn't victor just finish survivor off and down them if they refuse to get rid of him, especially if they can easily perform that action any time they want?

Because what if say charolette chased you but refused to hit you before the 40 second threshold? And just waited for victor to down you? Especially at loops she cant catch up to you on.

Because Charlotte can chase the survivor with Victor on their head. This could lead to a lose lose for the survivors

Honestly thats one thing i hope that they address with pig since they said people could abuse the chase mechanic with legion but pig can still do it. I can put a trap on a survivor and just follow them until they die nothing they can do about it.

We already have the perfect mechanism for this. Deep Wound.
Not removing Victor causes the bar to decrease. Doesn't decrease in a chase. Must remove Victor before the bar depletes or you go into dying state.

Because then it would be a direct buff to the Killer. And that won't do.
Bhvr doesn't do direct buffs. What they giveth, they must taketh. Are you seriously expecting a Killer power that puts a survivor from healthy to dying in about roughly 40 secs? Way too OP.

The difference is that a trap takes, what, 3 minutes? If you do that as a killer, you will lose.

It doesn't make any sense. It's poor design.
She either needs to be able to retrieve him immediately or give Charlotte a boost while Victors being held hostage, IE like Undetectable until returned. There needs to be some sort of urgency to want to give him back.

And? Its horrible game design. The pig probably doesnt care their throwing the match they just want that survivor to die with nothing the survivor can do to stop it. Its like basement bubba but with no counterplay at all. You WILL die by the reverse bear trap.

She does get a boost, she can see where that survivor is at all times.
The only reason for the 'recall' option is so survivors can't troll by holding her power hostage.

That isn't a boost. Seeing where they are is so insignificant, IE why people still hold him hostage.
They currently can hold him hostage. The time for return is too long.

The idea of holding Victor hostage didn't even occur to me until I read it on the forums. You know what happens every single match that people -DON'T- hold him hostage?
It's a 4-man slug, because you can't heal faster than Victor can injure. And if more than one person is injured, Victor can just bounce from target to target and down them all.
Seriously, without kidnapping Victor, Twins are one of the worst killers to face.

You get stunned when you throw him down for a second. Charolette catches up and downs you in that time. Lose lose. Also while using struggle to get him off you can't perform other actions or it cancels it. So if you wanted to say vault itd reset.

if you're not awfully bad you can complete free yourself action when you have some distance between you and the killer

Not at tight loops? A charolette would just wait out the time you free yourself your stunned for a second and charolette downs you. You don't? Victor downs you. Devs don't want a lose lose situation. And what if i do throw him down to avoid it? He has a 5 second cooldown and shes probably not to far away so she sends him out and downs me in 10 seconds anyway. Oneshots unnecessary and abusable.

oh no, survivor will be in a loselose situation in some rare exceptional case despite being able to prevent it in a numerous ways, you know what, you're right, totally and absolutely right, survivors should never and under no circumstances be in lose lose situation

Remember why pyramid head got nerfed? Sword into ground at every loop? You throw the pallet you get hit? You don't throw the pallet you get hit? Devs don't like lose lose.

What rare and exceptional case? Victor has a downtime of like 2 seconds.

how does a lose-lose scenario in every loop that could not be prevented and lose-lose scenario in a few rare exceptional scenarios that could be prevented look similar to you?

that one particular loop where you can't allow yourself a 1 second animation.

Pretty sure that's longer than 1 second, so that's pretty much every loop, or any time the killer is within around 10 meters. What you're thinking of is immediately destroying Victor when he latches on, which means Charlotte can get a free hit in again in about 5 seconds. Repeat until the entire team is downed.
Seriously, without kidnapping Victor, you can't heal fast enough to compete with him.

I got rid of victor midchase a lot of time and it wasn't something disastrous so I guess you're just imagining things

It takes like 2:30 minutes I believe to kill a survivor, if you moon walk for that long to kill 1 survivor you will probably lose
Correction: I am really stupid and its 150 seconds without Tampered timer xD

piggy does hav counter play force her to get out of crouch while searchin boxes in her face there u stop timer plus shes wasting time with 1 person now insidious basement bubba on other hand not much u can do there for hooked survivor
