New concept- Item pass mechanic

Ok, so I have this idea to spice up the gameplay a bit.

What if survivors could throw and pass items at each other while on the run, instead of having to stop and place it on the ground. It would sort-of be like rushing throw a window vs slow-vaulting, as the throwing action has some risk to it.

The way that this mechanic would work is as follows.

Claudette is being chased by the killer. She is holding a flashlight, and she is running, of course. Now, imagine there's a Dwight nearby, and Claudette wants to give the flashlight to him for x reasons, but she's still in a chase, so she can't stop to place it down without being hit. When running and holding an item, there's a prompt to "Prepare a pass" or something along those lines. When pressed and hold, Claudette enters an animation where her right hand (The item-holding one) extends, so that the killer can be made aware of this action too.

When preparing a pass, Claudette cannot make use og her item until she lets go of the prompt. All survivors within a very limited range (About 10 meters), that don't have an item and are WITHIN DIRECT LINE OF SIGHT become available for a pass (They have a red mark over their heads, similar to how Hag is highlighted to which trap she is teleporting to). If no survivor is available or the survivor holding an item turns their camera away from any available survivors, then the item cannot be thrown.

From another Dwight's perspective, her recieves a notification that Claudette is preparing to pass an item to him (This notification could be a sound queue from the survivor other survivor, like "Hey!" or smt, or it could just be another existing noise notification).

Now the fun part. While Claudette is holding the throw button, if she presses the normal "Use item button" while having Dwight highlighted, she thows the item to him and suffers from no slow-down penalty. The killer can clearly see the pass happening, as there is an animation.

Dwight, as soon as the pass occure, has his camera automatically turned towards Claudette, similar to how one would suddenly turn their heads when being thrown something. As the item travels towards him, he recieves a skillcheck. This is a special skillcheck, however, as the success area will alter depending on Dwight's next actions. If Dwight stays still and does not move his camera, the success area will have the size of about a normal snap out of it skillcheck. If Dwight walks or has his camera turn during the skillcheck, the size of the success area is reduces by 10% for each. If Dwight is running, then the size is reduced by 50% percent. So, in stacks, if Dwight moves his camera away from where it was turned and runs, the area of success is reduced by 60%.

If the skillcheck is completed, Dwight would recieve the item with no penalty. If the skillcheck is failed, or if Dwight gets behind cover during the item's travel time, the item will fall to the ground and lose 5% of its stacks and makes a loud noise notification for the killer to hear (If the skillcheck is failed, the item falls out of Dwight's hands and lands in front of him, and if the item is blocked by a tall object, it crashes against it and lands somewhere nearby).

Well that was a lengthy explanation (That still leaves a lot without much needed explanation, like if the item is actually seen travelling in the air, or if it's just teleported to one place).

What do you think of the idea? I personally think this could be a useful mechanic, or at least, a fun gimmic that survivors could do to spice things up a bit.

Thanks for reading.
